Tournament of Kings – An Unforgettable Experience! This was easily one of my favorite experiences in Las Vegas! We attended the Tournament of Kings the night after my nephew’s birthday because I didn’t want him to be upset if his team lost on his actual birthday. Of course, we chose Team Dragon—the ultimate villain team (we never win, but we have the most fun)! Tickets & Booking Tickets range from $60 to $80 per person, but we found a great deal on Vegas.com (or Las Vegas Show Tickets) for around $54 each. However, when purchasing through a third-party site, we didn’t receive a prompt to select our meal options in advance. Luckily, we arrived two hours early, which gave us enough time to sort it out at the Excalibur Casino ticket desk. Otherwise, we would have all been stuck with the default meal. The meal options included: Regular Meal – Roast chicken, potatoes, and other finger foods Vegetarian Option – Pasta (which my sister enjoyed) Kid’s Meal – Chicken strips and fries Another downside was that staff never informed us that we could sign my nephew up to have his birthday announced during the show. He was wearing his birthday sash, and when the wizard began calling out birthday names, he got excited—only to be disappointed when his name wasn’t mentioned. I wish we had known in advance about this feature. Getting to the Show & Seating The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is in a great location, with a convenient pedestrian bridge that connects to the Strip. Before the show, we explored nearby hotels, which was a fun bonus. To enter Tournament of Kings, you go downstairs into the arcade area, which was perfect because my nephew got to play games while we waited in line. The line was long but moved quickly, and we found our seats right away in the Dragon section. The Show & Service The arena is massive, and the experience was 100% immersive! You feel like part of the action—cheering, booing, and getting hyped by the performers. Team Dragon may not win, but the energy is incredible! Unfortunately, the seat I was assigned was broken. I immediately let the staff know, and they were incredibly helpful—not only did they move us to better seats closer to the action, but they also gave me a free drink to make up for the inconvenience. My sister had to stay in the original section since our new spot only had space for four, but overall, the staff handled it very well. Throughout the show, the knights interact with the crowd, giving you fierce looks, engaging with your reactions, and making the experience even more exciting. There's also a performer who walks around encouraging the audience to get involved—laughing, booing, and cheering. Post-Show Interaction One of the best parts? After the show, the knights come out to meet guests! You can take pictures with them and chat, which made for a great ending to an already amazing night. Final Thoughts This experience was a solid 10/10. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Despite the small hiccups, the staff was fantastic, the show was engaging, and my nephew absolutely loved it. Anytime I return to Vegas, this will be a must-do attraction. Highly recommend!

Title: "Medieval Magic at Excalibur's Tournament of Kings" Experiencing the 'Tournament of Kings' at the Excalibur Hotel is a must for anyone yearning for a burst of medieval entertainment in Las Vegas. The show seamlessly blends finesse feats of horsemanship and swordplay with spells of mirth and merriment, allowing you to travel back in time while never leaving your seat! From the moment you step into this rustic arena, the smell of hearty food fills the air. The promise of a hands-only feast—paired with a captivating storyline that makes you feel part of an age-old saga—adds an exceptional touch of authenticity to the evening. And the knightly spectacle? Unforgettable! The fierce competition among knights jousting, the thundering roars of the crowd, the brilliant fireworks—all of this creates a unique ambience that's part Broadway musical, part medieval banquet, and wholly exhilarating. The staff, too, played their roles as though they’ve truly lived in the Arthurian era. Their costumes were splendid, and their service was akin to royal courtesies—all of which added to the authenticity of the tournament. In a city known for its entertainment, 'Tournament of Kings' truly stands apart. From one entranced spectator to any prospective visitors, if you're looking to inject your Vegas vacation with an element of fantasy, this is your ideal stop. A trip to the Excalibur's grand spectacle will leave the word 'mundane' far behind in the non-medieval world.

We weren't sure what to expect going into this show, but whatever we could have expected, it ended up surpassing. What a fun time! The show is so well choreographed, the pyrotechnics are amazing and the acting is just good fun. When I ordered the tickets I didn't realize we were in the "dragon" section, while the other sections had countries. As the beginning of the show went on, I didn't think we had a king, oh but we had a totally cool dragon champion instead. We were the bad guy section and we had so much fun. The food served was Cornish game hen, potatoes, a small portion of corn on the cob, and a roll. Unfortunately the food wasn't super hot or even warm, but when you're serving hundreds of plates, it's to be expected. Drinks were expensive, but that was also to be expected, but that frozen strawberry daquiri was absolutely worth the price. Admission to the show was super easy, they checked our tickets and pointed us to our section, we got ourselves there with no problem. Our seats were in the front row so they weren't hard to find or get to, though leaving was very congested while people shuffled out. All in all, for the price of the ticket it was a good value; good food and a highly entertaining show, I would absolutely want to see it again in the future.

Unless you have kids or are specifically a horse riding enthusiast, you will probably find this not worth the money. I did enjoy the atmosphere and some of the stunts (joust especially), but the plot was too contrived and uninspired to keep me really engaged. It needs something extra. Some suggestions: Merlin is just annoying doing comedy at the start, bring him in later to redeem himself with some spectacular Vegas magic against the villain. Or woke it up by bringing in a fighting princess to take on the final battle. Or have the kings actually compete. Not when jousting, I understand that would be dangerous and jousting is already the most impressive bit, but they were "competing" in javelin throw and only one of them even tried hitting the target - I assume he was supposed to win. Moving on to dinner, the tiny whole chicken was kind of amusing, but it seems they exhausted their attempt at an "authentic" mediaeval experience by giving you no cutlery and leaving the food unseasoned and sauceless. First of all, they had both seasoning and sauces in medieval times and secondly they were full of anachronisms anyway (coke instead of, say, mead, canons etc), so it was strange they went for a very bland meal. It's not cheap, the food could at least be better.

Went to the box office located on the second floor to catch a dinner and a show (TOURNAMENT OF KINGS), which turned out better than expected. The spectacle was flawlessly choreographed, accentuated by a symphony of outstanding music that heightened the excitement. The vibrant color theme woven into the story added an extra layer of enchantment to the performance, captivating all our senses. The actors' infectious enthusiasm and evident passion for entertaining translated into a joyous atmosphere that enveloped the audience in a whirlwind of merriment. Laughter and applause filled the air as we were all swept away by the exhilarating tale unfolding before our eyes. The food is as expected at all these types of events and the service was very good. They provide you with a menu to purchase other beverages besides the typical water and sodas. In conclusion, this jousting extravaganza was a dazzling success that left us thoroughly entertained. It was an evening of joy, laughter, and delight that will be fondly remembered for years to come. All MGM properties parking lots are run by a 3rd party, and charge $18.00 weekdays and $24.00 on weekends. 3 hrs free parking to all residents after scanning drivers license at checkout.

Tournament of Kings is one of my favourite shows in Vegas and easily one of my favourite to revisit whenever I go back. It's not got the awe and spectacle of some of the other shows, and it rarely changes if at all but it's also one of those shows that can be as fun as you and the people you attend with choose to make it. There's so many opportunities throughout the show for audience participation. I was on the 'enemy' faction and that entailed a great deal of jeering and antagonising both the performers or the factions opposite to you who, likewise do the same back. It's very silly but also very fun if you're that kind of person that can speak up in a crowd and it's even more great when you can watch the people around you, sitting near you laugh or sneer at something you said or did. It's also very family friendly and fun for all ages, I think, and unlike most shows in Vegas this one is served with a meal and while it's very, very mediocre in quality by restaurant standards to me at least it tasted surprisingly good and filling for what it was. I certainly was expecting it to be a lot worse considering and honestly I finished the meal wanting more which is always a good takeaway.
