University of Virginia Observatory Hill Dining Room — Attraction in Charlottesville

Look. We been knew that this place is trash. Prospective students can expect to tolerate this dining hall for a year at most. Realistically this dining hall will not be improving any time soon, so here's what future generations of students can expect: Station A: Chicken sandwitch or burger and potato wedges or fries Station B: Dry roast chicken, beef, or pork with some green vegetable and carrots or potatoes steamed to the point of flavorlessness Station C: Rice with a sauce or curry of nondescript origin and content with optional green vegetable Station D: Pizza that was at some point frozen Station E: Sometimes sandwiches that are good, mostly soups that are not Final Station: pasta and maybe breadsticks.

Couldn't really be bothered to remember the station's names. There exist also desserts and a station with deli sliced things with which one might make their own sandwich, and a salad bar including ingredients of...

For Ohill - 3/5 - The food is good most of the time and has variety, although sometimes it is cold. The online menu is very often inaccurate and menu items that are listed online are not actually available.

For Crossroads - 2/5 - During the semester it's really good and the food tastes great. During the Summer, AVOID, as they consistently have severe bug problems every year (at least for the past 5 years or more). Swarms of flies around/inside the drink machines, dead bugs on the tables, and found a dead fly inside my ketchup from the dispenser. Reported these issues multiple times to different staff and they openly/nonchalantly said they don't maintain the place during the summer since there are fewer students. Reported the issue in detail to dining and got a one line response saying they will fix it (most likely a lie) without any apology. Obvious cost-cutting at the cost of risking...

I just love all the employees who work here they make you feel welcome and at home. They are so willing to help everyone and their needs. The food here OMG can be on point every time you walk in. The place is very clean open spacious lots of natural light ohill dining hall is a two-story dining hall with elevator access for wheelchairs. They also have a nutritionist on hand if needed. They have there human resource building for all dining halls in this building as well as a place where you take your school picture for...
