Yogi Castle — Attraction in Ellicott City

july 23, 2016: we got a call from our kids this afternoon to come and join them and their 2 girls for a treat. it was 92 degrees today and a great time for 'ice cream'. it turned out we were having frozen yogurt sundaes at yogi castle. who needs ice cream when this delicious yogurt is available? my heart had been set on a choco chip mint ice cream with hot fudge sundae at a completelydifferent store, but the mint yogurt with mini chocolate chips and yogi's hot fudge over the top with 2 brownies added was... totally 'over-the-top'!! all of our family group was really happy with their own special creations. it was fun to see how each of us personalized the big bowls of yogurt... so many choices for both the flavors of yogurt and the variety of, at least, 24 toppings. half of us had to get a top for our large cup, so we could bring what we couldn't finish home for later! the young lady in charge of the store this afternoon was really pleasant and patient and helpful. yogi castle got a gem when she came in to apply for work! i wish i knew her name, so i could give her...

We are regulars here after my kids' school concerts, performances, special occasions, date nights out with mom or dad, or just place to go when mom & dad need a quick night out (:

The frozen yogurt is always really good. Toppings are plentiful and kept filled. Out of many visits we've only ever had an issue one time, the Swedish Fish were hard/stale, and when the worker was informed he promptly replaced them with new product.

Nondairy options are also available, although I don't remember if they're vegan or not. The sorbet is really good, but I haven't tried the oatmilk...

Yogis Castle have good frozen yogurt and have some of the nicest staff around. We've been going here for years and some of my former students have worked here too. Everyone reports a great experience.

They've changed the setup so that hand sanitizer and gloves are easy to get and the place is very clean. Every once in awhile a machine goes down and they have to take care of that, but even that is handled professionally with clear signs and minimal mess.
