Bagel Bin - Ellicott City — Restaurant in Ellicott City

It’s not easy for me to write a negative review because I’m an investor in two restaurants, but this can’t go unpublished. Ellicott City’s Bagel Bin’s lox and cream cheese sandwich is described on its menu as having tomato, onion and capers - the typical toppings by any bagel shop. Mine (delivered by Uber Eats) came without any of the fixings. When I called Bagel Bin and brought that to the attention of “Bobby Eddy” - obviously a high school dropout who worked behind the counter - he told me that he could “talk to his boss later to see if I can get a refund” and then immediately hung up on me. He didn’t ask for my name and number. He didn’t offer to fix me the bagel as advertised. He didn’t even apologize. So, I called back, gave him my name and number and then asked about getting the sandwich as advertised - he put me on hold for quite a while and then just hung up on me AGAIN. – the bagels are good. The service staff is friendly but, I’m putting this on management and why they’re only getting 1 star. New to the area and researched for bagels … I don’t like chains so this seemed like a good option. A little out of the way but, I don’t mind driving. When a business lists a closing time of 2 pm, I think they close at 2 … not so much here. They may not close their doors but they close down services. They’re moving locations which was the newest excuse. I’ve been multiple times - oh sorry we just closed our grill- 1 pm; oh sorry, no coffee 1:10 pm but, we have decaf. Oh sorry, we close our grill at 1:30. There were a few other lame excuses we listened to while staff was cleaning; moving tables and chairs; sweeping while we were still eating at 1:15. I counted at least 10 other disappointed customers in a 10 minute period. Good luck with your new location but, we will not...

I got 5 different items. They were not bad but could definitely been better. The nova lox and cream cheese was below my expectations, it was just cream cheese and salmon. It didn't have any casper and I'm not sure if it was forgotten or this store just don't have them. I also got the ham sandwich and tuna sandwich on white bread but the bread weren't toasted as requested. They still tasted good, but I wish the bread were toasted and made them even better. The salsa from the salsa sauve tasted bitter for some reason? If I were to order this again, I'd ask to leave out the salsa but it is weird for salsa to taste bitter in the first place.
