This historic covered railroad bridge has been meticulously restored and has many unique and fun touches to notice. For example, keep your eye out for the train tracks embedded in the floor, the outline of a train against the north wall, and short fun facts about the bridge along the railings. On the east side of the bridge, there is a bench and a shelter area with interpretive signs about the bridge and the history of the area. Parking was a challenge as there was no dedicated parking lot, and the street was generally too narrow to park on. Read moreThis was super cool to see. There are a fair amount of covered bridges in the midwest where I live, but I have never seen a covered railroad bridge before. This was amazing! There were a lot of signs with information about the railroad bridge. It even had a wire sculpture in front of it showing the size of a train going through the tunnel, and another wire art outline of a train inside it showing what it would be like to have a train in the tunnel.
