A few years ago, I absolutely loved this place. My husband and I would drive 20 miles every week during the summer just to enjoy a date night at CFB. The brews were great, and the food was consistently delicious and creative. I still remember sandwiches made with sweet pickles, fresh-picked tomatoes, quality bread, and other thoughtful ingredients. The pot pies were especially memorable—comforting and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the experience just hasn’t been the same over the past two summers. For example, tonight I ordered the hummus plate, but it was unavailable. I went with the tuna salad sandwich instead, which I’ve had and enjoyed in the past. What I received this time was disappointing: tuna mixed with mayo and mustard, topped with a slice of American cheese, a flavorless tomato, and lettuce on an average bun. It lacked the fresh dill, sweet pickle, and onions that made it special before. To add to the letdown, my cider was served warm. It’s not just about tonight—this has happened multiple times now, with items being out of stock and the overall food quality declining. I’m genuinely disappointed and starting to think it might be time to find a new spot for our summer date nights. I’ve attached a pic of the tuna sandwich served tonight which I could have made at home- except I don’t have American cheese. That said, I do still appreciate the live music—it’s one of the highlights that keeps the atmosphere enjoyable.

These folks have amazing, home-style Shepherd's Pie... made in "single-serving" baking dishes, all ready for them to finish baking in the oven and serve up piping hot! And... (OMG!) they actually have not just one, but TWO kinds of these that are Gluten-Free! I've died and gone to heaven... :p hehe, mmmmmm wowwww. Outdoor patio seating is so wonderful as well, especially during these (re-) masking times -- and there's plenty of shade as well. Such a pleasant spot to hang out and relax... and I even got to meet some local folks who can help me with some of the projects I need done on my house! Woo hoo! Thank you, Coast Fork Brewing, for making not only great food -- but for creating a much needed (!!) "community building space" where folks can feel at ease enough to start a conversation -- even with perfect strangers. <3 Simply wonderful. I'm going to become a "regular" here, I'm sure... :))

I visited this place after reading a review where someone called their shepherd’s pie “the dish of their life.” It turned out to be a solid recommendation—the shepherd’s pie was worth trying, and the pretzel was quite decent too. As for the beer, that’s always a matter of personal taste, so it’s hard to make sweeping comments. But for me, the IPA here didn’t leave much of an impression. The midday heat outside was intense, and unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be much effort to make the outdoor seating more comfortable. Just a large fan or a few misting nozzles could’ve made a big difference. Drinking during the day might be a bit of a challenge because of the heat.

The food Cottage Pie was excellent, my beer a Stout was quite tasty. Seating in the heated tent was plentiful and warm. When I was finally served after being ignored by the guy behind the bar, (apparently unable to talk to one party and serve anyone else in line, [or perhaps I look like someone who kicked his dog? I dunno]), anyways the beers I tasted were quite flavorful, and I would have had another if the same guy hadn't ignored me when I approached the bar, was even planning on purchasing a button down shirt when I saw thier merch when I entered the bar area. I spend 200 plus nights a year on the road traveling through the tri state area twice a year, there are places I would recommend and places that will never see another dime of my money. I'll leave you to guess my thoughts here. Again fantastic food, good beer, beginning customer service...
