Grassy large area park with lake view. Check the website for lake toxicity levels! Limited parking 1 handicap space) at the lake, but 2 other lots are larger with multiple spaces for handicap. Walk from the parking areas to paved trails that circle the park. A small portion of the trail is a (wooden, not concrete) boardwalk that cuts above a sensitive lakeside wetland. The wild flowers and birds are lovely in this area! Swimming and boating permitted from the westside dock area, but again, check for lake toxicity. The entire park is noisy from cars during peak traffic times (like 6pm). The eastside trail is on an incline and a lot more challenging for those with impairments. But the entire park is accessible to wheelchairs and rollators. Great place for families and crowds. Didn't try the restroom; there are find multiple portapotties in different locations (central and eastside). Pool was closed during our visit, but looking forward to coming back to try out the waterslide. Ropes course, basketball hoops, and a playground. Suggestion for park staff: A concrete barrier may cut down on the heavy car noise? Also, toxic algae sun needs to be bigger and closer to/at the beach!...
Read moreIt was surprisingly large. There were many active people there from all age groups. It was a very family oriented vibe. The park offers many activities. The lake water was clean and cooling. The was also a pool with a swirly slide, but that was not open, nor, unfortunately, was the aerial platforms with ropes and cables connecting them. I did not find any posted times of operation, but then again I didn't look, so I don't know whether these were closed due to CoVid-19 or just happen to be closed this Tuesday midday. The YMCA is connected to it. I found, after walking a wide paved trail, another opening of near equal size. Signs on the gazebo stating the area is closed during 7am-3pm for YMCA summer camp. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I decided this while I was there: next time I'm bringing my bike. Plus, It's an ideal place to host a birthday party or other celebrations -the reason I went- for i.e. weddings; to bring the family for picnics and water fun or to just relax in the great...
Read moreThis is a lovely little park and lake, tucked away in Woodinville. The water is much cleaner than Greenlake (I believe the lake is man-made), and the water is warm so it’s nice for swimming in… I don’t like rough water or open waterways, so I also love this lake for paddle boarding.
There’s a nice big dock and it’s also easy to launch your board/boat from the shore. I often see people fishing here, as well as other paddle boarders.
The lake is not that big across or wide, but it’s the perfect size if you just want to go out for an hour or two. Parking is usually not too much of a problem - there’s a decent sized parking lot. The small lots near the water fill up fastest.
The park itself has a few covered shelters, picnic benches and a nice big field. I think it would be a great place to host an outdoor party in the summer.
I think there’s also a community pool here, though I have not checked it out. (There are basket ball courts...
