šŸ’¦ Moss Ledge Falls šŸ’¦ Is now snow free and really flowing (these clips are from the fall) 🪧Trailhead: Mile marker 7 in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah 🄾.8 miles RT with 402 ft elevation gain šŸ§—This is more of a scramble negotiating around loose rocks and boulders. Right side trail is the best. Bring waterproof shoes. 🚫 No dogs permitted in the canyon. ā—ļøRemember to leave no trace. #waterfallwednesday #wowutah #utahgram #utahhiking #utahhikes #chasingwaterfalls #waterfalllovers #waterfallwednesday #wheregalswander #slcutah #wasatchmountains #hikeutah #shewhoexplores #allwomenalltrails #womenwhohike #hikingutahmountains #discoverutah #utahrocks #sheadventures #girlgetoutside #mountainadventures

Keep in mind, the parking lot is quite small and kind of hard to miss. This ā€œhikeā€ was interesting, if you can even call it a hike šŸ˜…. I enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong, but you’re essentially just rock scrambling all the way up until you get to the falls. There’s no direct dirt path up, you have to essentially make your own way up. It feels like you’re ā€œlostā€ but if you just keep going up and follow the water, you’ll get to the waterfall. It only took me 25 minutes to get to the falls, it’s not a hard hike, but it is not kid or elderly friendly at all with the amount of rock scrambling you have to do.

up here several times a week this summer. favorite place to take a nap and hang out for a few hours. plenty of shade but I like to pick specific rocks to sit and bask in the sun on. my go to hangout spot. the top of the waterfall has a shallow basin that's fun to kind of just sit in ^^ does require some scrambling and climbing over some boulders at a certain point. But really, there's several ways up so you can kind of get around it if you try

I absolutely love this trail. I have been taking my daughter to this trail since she was 4 years old. We found it by chance, pulling off to the side of the canyon to see what we could find and we loved it. The water when you first climb up is very shallow and then if you want to adventure higher you can climb even higher up into the canyon to see the waterfalls. The rocks up there are very Mossy and slippery so I would recommend wearing the proper shoes if you were going to hike. On/Up the waterfall area but great views, great Hang out spots, and it's...

At the risk of destroying the peaceful serenity of an amazingly secluded hike and waterfall, this was a hidden gem. I've done a few different hikes in big cottonwood and always bypassed this little area not thinking anything of it. But at least in late July it was a wonderful hike that you could follow basically a continual waterfall all the way to the terminus of moss ledge. It isn't a hard hike and not tons of climbing but it might take a bit of heart and dexterity and numberless to make it to an...
