We travel around the country. And one of the things we like to do is visit small museums. This one was worth the visit. Small but packed with great stuff. Gun, saddles, cowboys and villains, stories, and the Moffat Road. Don't miss the downstairs high school graduation pictures exhibit. What a hoot. The staff is very helpful.

Very informative and well laid out museum in an out of the way place. I would have never known about it if I hadn't been on a Village Travel bus tour eventually heading to Yellowstone. An extensive firearms exhibit was a highlight for me. Also the Past/Current photo display on the upper level was really interesting.

Nice little museum, no fees, just asking for donations to keep the doors open. Interesting place, especially if you're into learning about American Western Cowboy culture. They've got an extensive collection of historic spurs, guns, saddles, etc. The staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming.

This is our 2nd time visiting while traveling through this area. It's a wonderful little museum! Lots of historical items & information about Old West gun fighters, outlaws & cowboys! On display is Buffalo Bill's beautifully engraved saddle. Interesting info on Isam Dart, Tom Horn, Ann Bassett - Queen of the cattle Rustlers. Hundreds of Winchesters, colts, spurs, chaps. They also have on display the world's largest watercolor by local western artist Israel Holloway. Best of all it's...

This Museum has 'Wonderful' displays & lots of history of this area; and the staff are 'experts' about the history here! Dan Davidson, the Director, is a fountain of knowledge about everything & everyone in Moffat County as well as surrounding counties. They also have recorded histories of local citizens who were interviewed by a local historian,...

I have only lived in Northwest Colorado for the last two years. I just visited this place for the first time last weekend. It was very neat to see everything and learn about more of the heritage of the area. It was a great place to go to spend some time and learn a little bit. Keep it going. Awesome stuff there and...
