Sugar Creek Nature Park — Attraction in Crawfordsville

Not the most enjoyable park we have ever visited. I'm not sure if we went to the right place to see the creek. We took one trail to the left of the shelter and it was muddy and swampy in places. I saw some photos people have posted and that's why I thought that it might be a good place for me to get some photos. There was at least one trail that broke off of the trail that we were on but, it looked worse than the one we were on. We returned to our car. When we got back to the parking lot we noticed a couple coming from the far right of the shelters which had a gate that was closed and you could see tire tracks going off into the distance. But we didn't try that direction. We saw the map on display but it didn't really offer any assistance as to trails or what...

I used to love it but now it’s not even cleared out all the way only one side of the trails are cleared out and the grassy areas are all grown up to the point that I’m afraid to walk through them because of snakes and ticks. Please clear out all the trails and cut the grassy area shorter!! Also maybe put up signs asking people to not leave trash there was a ton of trash. There was also someone camped out in a tent? Mowing more that once a week would be nice if you’re not going to cut the grass shorter. It would just make it a little bit safer of an environment for everyone if everything...

Parking and picnic shelter area.

Wide and gravel trail for at least the first 3 stations of the trail make for an easy walk. Nice view of Sugar Creek.

Not sure the length of the trail (seems to only be one main trail).

The main trail isn't always clearly marked and there are a few other trails that sometimes are hard to distinguish. You know you are on the main trail if you keep coming across the marked...
