A wonderful vineyard just 30 minutes from Charlottesville. This place is unassuming, small but absolutely lovely. The drive was beautiful- along the farms and on the gorgeous Virginia countryside. The place is tucked behind a building and there is a small sign to let you know you’ve arrived! We went on a cold February afternoon, it was serene, quiet and the mountains in the background were stunning. The view of the vines from the patio is delightful and the wines were nice. Their 2019 Cabernet had just won a prize the week before and I’m glad we were able to sample it. We didn’t linger as it was cold but we will certainly be back when the weather is nicer and the vines have sprouted.

Fantastic wines and a great atmosphere. The staff are always very knowledgeable about the wines, not like a lot of the “vineyards” and “wineries” in the area. These folks know their stuff. Every wine I taste there is fantastic. I’m not even a fan of white wines, but Stinson has converted me with their buttery-soft Chardonnay. It’s peaceful enough to want to stay a while and enjoy the mountain views just past the vines. Easily one of my favorite Virginia wineries.

Pretty good wines, very nice staff in a beautiful atmosphere. Stinson made me realize that I can step away from the reds that I love to enjoy some great whites. Check out their concrete eggs. I recommend a stop here and be prepared because you might join their wine club. Thanks Stinson!!

Very disappointed. We arrived without a reservation and were told we were not allowed to have a tasting with a group of twelve. We wanted to to split into three groups of four and they said no. There was even an empty table of six. They were not crowded and there were no other people waiting. The girl (did not give her name but she had several tattoos) was very rude and had no interest in problem solving the situation. Our group has been touring Virginia wineries for over ten years and never experienced such rudeness and zero desire to accommodate. We left and went to Grace Winery down the street and they were wonderful. So...

There is a reason we moved out of Virginia and kept our wine club membership to this incredible vineyard. Out of the dozens of wine spots we visited in Central VA during our 15 years in Charlottesville, Stinson won our hearts with its incredible wine, breathtaking scenery, and laid-back vibe that makes you feel like family. You have so many options when you visit this area in terms of wineries to check out - take it from me - this is the one. This small family-run business cares deeply about winemaking and taking great care of people,...
