Crystal River Preserve State Park is a hidden gem tucked away on Florida’s gulf coast 💎 You may know about Crystal River being a great place to see and snorkel with manatees, but this area is full of springs, rich history, and diverse ecosystems. Crystal River Preserve State Park protects 27,500 acres of scrub, pinewoods, hardwood forests, salt marshes and mangrove islands. There are several trails spread throughout different trailheads in Crystal River, totalling over 15 miles. In the park, you can enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, boat tours, and...

I called twice before booking a room and coming the Preserve. Had I known the Visitor center would be closed (not what I was told), and the ranger would not be available to assist in helping us earn a Junior Ranger badge as listed on the website, I would not of wasted my time and money driving and coming up here. Even when I called, they silenced the phone to keep from picking it up as I heard it ring standing outside the door. What a...

The park is clean. The signs are easy to follow. Highly recommend bringing on the bug spray. Went to the mullet hole. There is a parking area there and trail starts there as well. Had a picnik. Very nice water way to...

My wife and I have been meeting our daughter and Grandson halfway between Tallahassee and Clearwater. So my daughter picked this Crystal River Preserve.Of all the springs we have visited ths was by far the most enjoyable. We visited the archeological site highlighting the Indian mounds which are amazing. Then when we took a restroom break we ran into 3 manatees relaxing in the harbor. All in all a great day for our grandson.
