We stopped here day after Christmas. Downtown itself has a lot of vacant and closed buildings and businesses. It was a delight however to find this Pharmacy and Medicine museum stuck in the middle of the downtown area which happened to be open. It has a history of medical memorabilia and paraphernalia. We were given a extensive tour of all the contents from a very knowledgeable guide who also happened to be a resident of the town. Lots of stuff to see and interesting stories including a whole section on medical quackery, ie, an elixir to make your ugly baby beautiful. The attendant Jeremiah was amazing and his passion for the place and the history of Cuero made for some wonderful stories and conversation. Our guide (Jeremiah) was very helpful and informative, providing details on the old drugs, practices, and equipment on display in the store.
