Cuero Heritage Museum — Attraction in Cuero

Great small town museum with interesting exhibits showcase in the history of the town. CUERO is a very interesting and old place. With cool traditions. Actually known as leather in Spanish it’s not necessarily the leather capital of the world like Yoakum. Young lady gave us a nice tour and explained many of the turkey trot traditions along with some of the Ferg trappers experiences and the reason for several of the different exhibits that also include Japanese porcelain and China. Ottoman history is steeping inside of this little town with a crazy and interesting back story, pens all the royal dresses and palace decorations!...

Great for "local" history on the Cuero Turkey Trot, the Cuero Football team, and ....Reamers! Free to tour, and you will have good conversations with the gentleman who is the caretaker (?) of the museum. Some locals were playing Dominoes in a back room.
