Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum — Attraction in Cuero

Cuero Texas is the little city that could! We just went to the "Cuero Celebrates Warhol" exhibit at the "Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum". You must go! I believe it was as good or better than anything I have seen in New York,. The Warhol collection was such a unique collection but exposure to Bob Wade,John Nieto, John Moyers, Billy Schenck and Ira Yeager was just as delicious. This museum had a lot to offer. It is reasonably priced so everyone can attend ($5), Chisolm Trail Heritage Museum is open to donations from those who have the ability to do more financially. We happened to be in Cuero TX due to not able to get an appointment with motor vehicle branch in New Braunfels for 2 months, but Cuero had next day appointments available. As we were waiting we happened to see the CTHM and visited the place. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly gave us a tour and explained a lot. This place was a disappointment. Pricey to get in, gift shop was "boutique-y", and really not much about the Chisholm trail at all. Very 'pretty' displays, nicely done. Large display of someone's collection of Spanish stirrups and headstalls. A chuck wagon display.
