This was a very fun way to experience a Gettysburg field hospital. The clothing, the "artifacts," and people were great. Our favorites were the photographers, the smoke house, and the police. Don't miss those!
Docents were a little hit and miss, but overall were very entertaining. A couple groups ignored us when we walked up (as they were engaged in conversation amongst themselves), and others were a little overzealous...I thanked one for his time because he'd been talking a long time and my kids were getting antsy in the heat. He then informed me very sternly that he wasn't done and continued to talk 😂 Overall a very fun experience (and a good lesson to my kids about social awareness)!
