Stevens Creek: Perfect for Paddleboarding in the South Bay, but Hiking's Just Average 🥚

Beautiful trail (5-6 miles around) Tip: come early morning as there could be less parking available. Tip: carry backpack with water, speakers if you like music, food and snacks for lakeside time. Good uphill and downhill combination for increasing heartbeat and workout with fun. You will enjoy lovely landscape. At the end you will feel worthy as you can relax by the lake under the sun. You can do yoga by the lake or read a book of your choice with music and snacks. If you are fortunate then you will find beautiful yellow flowers which will make you smile and make you happy. Hope you enjoy this trail with your friends and family. Note: there are different loops so you can decide for a longer or shorter as per your convenience.

This is a nice beginner-intermediate hike in the South Bay Area. It has some panoramic views and nice water views along the way. It’s relatively easy with some mild inclines. A handful of places for quick breaks as well. Saw lots of lizards, butterflies, quails and wildflowers! We got there right at 8 when the gates opened for parking and had no issues. It was also nice going earlier when there are less people as the trail does get pretty narrow. Towards the end of our hike when we encountered people starting the hike in the opposite direction, it was sometimes difficult to navigate giving room to pass.

This is an awesome park. We parked @ the Madrone picnic area. There are only 8 parking spots here. Which includes a handicap spot. There are bathrooms here in case you need. From here we went in the Steven’s Creek Tony Look Trailhead. We walked about 3 miles. Walked all the way to the reservoir and then headed back. It was hot this day. So bring plenty of water n a hat. The trail itself is not difficult. There are some light steep areas. Wear good shoes since some of the trail paths have lots of stones and are narrow. No animals seen other than birds. Enjoy...
