Then there is beautiful sprawling city park in the BACK. It has shelters for your reserved family outing or plenty of picnic areas for a impromptu. The Cuyahoga River winds thru this wonderful park and is equipt with a canoe or kayak boat ramp. This is also one of the ramps used for the rental of these boats that start and end here but sail from the Kent area . You'll have to call parks and recreation to get this particular information. There are jungle gyms located thru out for the kids, personal fishing docks. The bike and hike trail from stow to gal park passes thru this park as well. With connector trails for hiking or biking. Baseball and softball fields and under the lights games happen nightly with lots of local teams. This is a family fun nite out and being a picnic. Whether you cook out on their grill or sack lunch. Bring the dog as there are great hiking trails thru the woods along the river behind the softball fields. A great water park in front followed by a HUUUUGE oasis of fun in the back ( drive past the train bridge at the end of the parking lot and Walla, you'll find nice big picnic pavilions, public restrooms w water drinking fountains open fields for soccer, then the BEST kids playground in town, ducks at the cuyahoga rivers edge( NO BREAD PLZ!), LOTS of parking area, A Fitness excersize path around the perimeter, then to the right of that a GIANT baseball and Soccer field/complex w drinking fountains and picnic areas, restrooms THERE AS WELL!! I JUST finally WALKED the entire perimeter of it and I'm blown away at how nice it is. Note- across from the soccer fields there is a OFF-ROAD BIKE PATHS- BOTH wooded or paved (your choice of fun). If you follow the paved bike-n-hike path across the bridge you can turn right to continue on to Munroe Falls Brust Park then Stow (further beyond) or hang left and the wide paved path takes you to another Awesome park- Silver Lake Park where you can play baseball, relax while the kids play on another nice playground, stop n eat lunch at the pavillion or bench, play tennis or basketball under lights.
