This is a very small museum in the downtown of a small town, but worth it. The collection isn't huge, but they have some nice little displays. The local wildlife exhibit is small in size, but has a good variety including footprints and some bones. Some of the museum is still under development, with the beginning framework for a new exhibit on the dust bowl that is open to the public while they're building it out. It has a nice little experience where you enter to a small home to experience the sounds of a dust storm with a narrator giving a first person description of life during the dust bowl period.    Read moreThis small but interesting museum was definitely worth a stop. As you'd expect, there are several panels and artifacts presenting the history of the legendary 3-million-acre X.I.T. Ranch. There is also a nice wildlife display. My favorite aspect, though, was an extremely well done exhibit on the prairies and plains--and the destruction thereof during the settlement of the West, leading to the Dust Bowl.
