This is a great disc golf course that uses a relatively small piece of city land to provide a pretty nice 20 hole course. Overall the park is maintained pretty well. It's definitely an older city park, but no major issues other than some debris runoff from the city after a big rain. Course itself dries pretty quick though if you stay on the fairways. Local golfers and club do A LOT to keep the place nice and free of BS. Baskets are old Mach somethings (2s maybe?) and can be a little spitty, but the guys out there have at least taken good care of them over the years and you'd be hard pressed to find baskets that old at another park that are still in as good of shape as these are. They still catch better than a lot of newer baskets I've played on. Locals are friendly, pretty much a 90% disc golf park with the other 10% being a couple of basketball quarts that are way out of the way, and the holes are really well designed to still give you some challenging looks despite being a smaller course. Definitely worth checking out if you've never been. There are 2 bonus holes for a total of 20 although 18s normal basket appeared to be MIA when I was there today. If you're standing on 17s teebox facing forward, look over your right shoulder at about 4 o'clock and you'll see a path into the woods for 17b. Hole 19 is down the trail after 18s long pin (about 40 feet up the sidewalk by the basketball quarts on...
Read moreBB Owen park is the best place to play disc golf in Dallas. It’s got the first 9 holes to warm up on. They are open and full sun to just rip it! Great for beginners. The rest of the hole’s are more finesse and technical. It’s got a little of everything to make it fun. Plenty of trash cans and benches to relax and take in the nature. Because of the city creek that runs through middle of the park, you can relieve your self, and have a toke. If your in to that stuff. Half way through the game, your back at your car, in case you need more refreshments…. Bonus if you are just having a lot of fun. Not kidding. The regulars out there are so nice, and always have a pointer to show you how they attack the hole. People in Dallas can be a little much. You would never know it when you...
Read moreAs an older person I found this disc golf course sub par. The tee offs aren’t clearly marked, no flags on top of the baskets, or the band around top of basket not numbered. No arrows pointing the way to next tee off. Having to refer to a map constantly on phone, or just guessing, with other others playing behind, made this course no fun for me. All the players discs crossing one another on the first 9 is confusing. I seldom leave public comments, and avoid negative commentary too, but I wouldn’t play here again until the course is more user friendly, and...
