Today we ran into two dogs off-leash, as well as their very rude owner(s), who claimed she owned the property. (insert eyeroll here) Her two dogs ran right up to my pit and would not get off of him. He had an extremely traumatic start in life, so you can imagine that he does not respond well to being rushed by strange dogs. I repeatedly asked the two ladies to get the dogs off of mine. They just stood there, twenty feet away, sauntering slowly in our general direction, arguing that their dogs weren't doing anything wrong. She said that if my dog wasn't good with other dogs, he shouldn't be out. Sure lady. I'll leave my rescue pup caged up forever so your disobedient animals can run wild. Read moreI visited this trail system for the first time in October by myself. I mainly wandered around with the understanding that most trails connect with the Ranger trail. I eventually found the Ranger trail then the signs pointing toward the trailhead/exit when I was ready to return to the the parking areas.
I enjoyed the nature, the condition of the trails, and the moderate difficulty overall of my nature walk. I have been to Cedar Ridge Preserve many times and Cedar Hill State Park DORBA loops several times.
