Boy Scout Hill Pavillion — Attraction in Dallas

NOTE:THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SMALL GREEN SPACE WITH ONE PICNIC PAVILION, HIGH ABOVE BUCKNER BLVD, OVERLOOKING THE LAKE AND DALLAS SKYLINE

(it’s confusing because on the map there is this map marker listing which is called Boy Scout Hill Pavilion, which is located on the lake grounds. There is also a marker labeled just Boy Scout Hill, which is a picnic ground overlooking the lake, above Buckner Blvd. At this time, it is not possible to leave a review on the Boy Scout Hill picnic grounds marker, which needs to be corrected by Google Maps, and I am working on that).

Boy Scout Hill is a small green space tucked away on Peavy Rd, elevated above bustling Buckner Boulevard. It’s a “hidden gem“, because unless you know where it is, you won’t accidentally drive by it or notice that it is there.

It provides an envious and unique view of our in-city jewel White Rock Lake … with a stunning view of the Dallas skyline in the background.

Besides providing some peace and tranquility or a great photo-op, the small park also contains a covered shelter house with some picnic tables, and a small paved...

The trails are paved and clean. There is rarely parking on the weekends at this location though .I've also gotten my wallet stolen out of my car not once but TWICE. This is a nice spot on top of the hill to park for a walk along the lake, but take...
