The reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is because the parking and bathroom is horrible! The park itself was great but the parking was the worst!
Let us start with the parking situation. You have to make your own parking! There's no lines to indicate this is where you park. Plus, there's apparently a lot of one way roads that don't have any arrows informing you of this so you have to hope no one is driving recklessly. If you must park closer to the dog area, you're making your own parking next to the sitting area which is weird.
Another issue I had was the bathroom situation. It's a porta potty. But only one. And the door was broken so you couldn't get inside. If you want more people visiting this dog park, you should add a bathroom building.
Besides that, it was a wonderful experience! My dog was able to run around and make friends. Someone brought an aggressive pitbull so that ruined it since he tried attacking my dog. Also, a lady and her husband brought their small poodle that was the size of a Chihuahua into the large dog area. Now my dog is a lab so he's not very small. Plus the other dogs my lab was playing with was pretty big as well. The bigger dogs wanted to rough house with the small dog. The owners of the small dog kept getting upset with us other owners because the dog kept getting stepped on. There's a reason they have a small dog and a large dog section! Both sections are completely fenced in so you don't have to worry about them getting out which is nice!
My request is for the owner of the facility to add parking lines and arrows to help with the flow of traffic and to add a...
Read moreI moved to Dallas with my boyfriend, Nick, from Smyrna. We went to Burger park which is basically a large flat back yard with no trees or toys. Super boring. So imagine my surprise when we move and this amazing dog park is only 5 minutes away. It’s basically rolling hills with trees, and a bridge, tires, plenty of benches and doggie poop stations. They have water fountains (they don’t work well but people leave bowls behind) and so much room for them to run and explore. I literally can’t see them if they aren’t on the other side of the park it’s so large. And they have a walking path that cuts through the middle. This dog park is absolutely awesome. It seems the play water fountain is under construction, but it’s such a great park. And in the several times I’ve been there people watch their dogs and are really friendly and I haven’t had any issues with other dogs there, not nearly like I did at Burger Park. I’m so happy with this park and my Remy and Leela are dead tired when we go home. I’d give it 15...
Read moreKinda hard to find & small unconventional roadway to dog park area on hill.Has a covered pavilion w/ picnic tables & seating. Spacious area for big dogs! Lots of room to run & play w/ a few obstacles for training. Spread out seating for people. Only have been there twice. Has water fountain for your dogs. 1st time was great w/ no dog incidents with our 1-1/2 yr old red-nosed Pitbull. He's not aggressive, but very playful (dog is constantly around young kids including toddlers). 2nd time around, everything was fine until a lady came w/ an aggressive pitbull mixed terrier. Long story short, the terrier attack our pitbull leaving him w/ 3 wounds on his left ear (2 scratches & 1 small penetration thru, which caused bleeding). Owner of terrier wasn't concerned & didn't react as her dog instigated the attack & after mass. No apologies were given, only blank stares. Not sure if there's cameras on property or not. Word of advice, just be visual of other...
