Good place, especially given the area. For downtown Dallas, GA, it's an up-class Americana place: the menu is burgers, fries, salads, sandwiches, tacos, etc. The food is well done. They have numerous gluten-free options, and they're careful and particular about not mixing gluten-free and gluten foods. Grateful for their particular care. Portion size is fairly large; we ate there for a late lunch, and I didn't eat the rest of the day. I recommend the Frisco burger; it was delicious, good-sized. Sweet potato fries were great, too. Service is gracious and kind; our server was very on top of keeping our drinks filled, answering questions, and doing it all with a kind attitude. Atmosphere is cool, overall. The building itself clearly used to be some kind of workshop or garage or something, and they've kept enough of that old style and mixed it with a hefty overhaul featuring light, wood, and black trim. The dining room is one big box room lined with booths on one side, a bar on the other, and tables in between. Can be a bit loud, but normal for a restaurant. We went at 2 in the afternoon, and it was still half full, so I imagine you'll expect to wait if you come at peak times. Sign of something good going on here, right? Kids get a menu with a maze and a drawing their can color; they get a three-pack of crayons. Nice touch. Bathrooms are two single-seaters for the whole restaurant, so you might need to wait a moment if you have to go. I didn't see any baby-changing stations, but there is room on the bathroom counter. Prices are a bit high but fair. With a non-alcoholic drink, you're looking at about $20/person before tip. It was the two of us and a child, and our bill was $55 plus tip. They're very accommodating to groups, and they can move their tables together easily to accommodate different sizes. Worth considering if you have a group outing. All in all a good deal, especially for Downtown Dallas, which could use some upscaling. Worth supporting this business if you like good food, want to help local Dallas, and just generally want an enjoyable time. I wasn't blown away, but I was impressed and pleased. Will probably frequent again. Menu has just the right mix of things you want to try and regular things you'll want to stick to. They do have specials that rotate in and out.

I thought we'd check out downtown Dallas since it has been a long while since we have been there. Living in NW Cobb gives us too many choices on the Marietta-Acworth-Kennesaw side - not that that's a bad thing. But we try to break from the routines when we can. Downtown Dallas hasn't seen the growth of other smaller towns, like Kennesaw and Acworth with their growing number of pretty good to very good restaurants. But Paulding is still growing and hopefully good, controlled growth could come to Dallas, especially the downtown area. For now, though, Downtown Eats seems to be the winner as far as lunchtime goes. We haven't tied it for dinner yet. One of the best way to pre-judge a restaurant is by how full the parking lot is. An empty lot can be a signal that something isn't going right. But the fairly large lot behind DT Eats was almost full. We found a spot in the back. That gave a us a good signal from the start. We were a little concerned about the wait because of the full lot. But the restaurant inside has many tables plus several outside for warmer days. It was busy inside but we were seated right away and our drink orders immediately taken. Service, is the superstar of this place - above and beyond as they say. The atmosphere was pleasant. But there was just one thing that prevented me form giving DT Eats five stars. My wife and I both ordered DTE Chicken sandwiches. The fries were great, but the sandwiches....I ordered a fried version and my wife ordered a grilled (healthier) version. The problem I had was that the chicken's thickness might have been an issue in the deep fryer since half of it was about 1/4 in. thick while part of was a bit thicker. With a cut like that, it would easy to come out with a tough piece of chicken - and I could not finish it all because of that. My wife could only eat less than half her grilled chicken because she didn't enjoy the sauce that was applied. All of that said, we enjoyed our visit to DT Eats enough for both of us to agree that we would be back. Everyone there seemed eager to serve and please.

I’ve owned a rental house in Dallas, for 12+ years but haven’t spent any time in Dallas or been impressed by any place I have stopped at. Upon completing my work yesterday and starving, I googled restaurants near me. The eats popped up with highly recommended review reviews and was 2 miles away. I arrived a little after 5 PM, it wasn’t very busy. The hostesses, bartenders & servers were all sweet, professional, kind and cute. The atmosphere and decor was “Farm house” style , but classy
. Even the hand dryers in the bathrooms were impressive, lol! My meal came out timely and was absolutely delicious. I wish I would’ve took pictures. I had the brisket quesadillas and they were delicious. I saw A lot of good looking meals come out of the kitchen, great presentation and tempting to order. I left about 45 minutes later and by then, the restaurant had completely filled up. Peeps waiting in line! This was on a Thursday night at 6 PM. This place is a definite hit in Dallas! The city of Dallas has been doing some exceptional improvements. I must give them credit! There were so many rundown homes in a lot of trashy yards and places everywhere you looked. Over the last few years. The city of Dallas has cleaned up and improved so many homes, it has improved and increased my property value. This restaurant is by far the best thing that hit Dallas Georgia. They’ve only been open a few months since December 2024. If you’re around Dallas, you definitely should give it a try. You will not be disappointed! Prices are very reasonable. I was shocked at my bill and how low it was to be honest. That’s always a great :-)

This is an already popular restaurant judging by the crowded parking lot and the usual line of people waiting out front that I've noticed every time I have pass by since its opening. But it's new and the initial popularity is because of that reason ...it's new.. and folks do swarm ANY halfway decent looking new restaurant when it opens around here. But if you're reading reviews then you're likely not one of those people and you want to see first what people have to say about the food service etc etc.. I know for some they will come to visit because there is a full-service bar and.. hold on to your hats!! There's even a wine list! In downtown Dallas, Georgia there is a restaurant with a wine list if you can believe it.. Personally I don't care because I don't drink wine (..or any alcohol as a personal choice) and a wine list is usually just an irritating piece of table fodder. But just saying. Anyways.. Service was good almost above average even but post covid that doesn't say alot does it?.. well it was real good. As far as atmosphere all of the pictures already posted show the interior and aside from a small back and side porch that's pretty much the seating. The menu has mostly hand food where they're making obvious attempts to take their conservative menu of mainly salads, burgers, chicken fingers, fries and sandwiches to a "next level". .. Although I must say making a Reuben sandwich with grouper?.. sounds unappealing ... Then to call it a Greuben just sounds wrong and an insult to Reuben sandwiches everywhere! 😀

We started with the fried green tomatoes for our appetizer and WoW.. the batter was perfect layered and fried, didn't fall off the tomato when cut into. The green tomatoes themselves may have been too firm for some but just the way we like them. But the feta aoli almost stoled the green tomato show.. my wife even requested more to use as a dip for her chicken!. Their in house sauces served with their chicken tenders is for somebody else not either of us.. sweet, balsamic, zing, blah blah.. yeah, no thank you. My wife's chicken tenders and regular fries were good. I ordered black truffle fries with my double patty melt and felt there was an excessive amount of black truffle added to the fries... The melt on the other hand was fantastic tasting.. hot, buttery, cheesy, ground steak patties were cooked medium rare (as I requested) and I killed it.

Unfortunately, Saturday night, Sunday morning and until Tuesday actually it had me so sick it felt like it was trying to kill me! Yes, I ordered it medium rare and yes it tasted good then and I ate it..so I'm not saying if ordered yours will make you sick.. and I willfully share any blame.. but it obviously it was cooked more on the rare side than the medium rare side. So, while I'm in no hurry, we may go back some time in the future and if you're looking for this type of food and restaurant by all means try it for yourselves!.. because there's nothing highly objectionable and their effort alone in bringing something a little different to town deserves customers to stop and give them a try. And hey.. they'll get more practice cooking patty melts before I return for my...

Downtown Eats fills a much-needed void in downtown Dallas, offering a fresh dining experience in a bustling location. It was clear from the crowd on a Thursday evening that this spot has quickly gained traction. My husband and I opted to sit at the bar, and as we settled in, we immediately noticed the large TV screen above us and another in the waiting area. While we understand the appeal for some, we both agreed that the presence of these screens detracted from the atmosphere. In a place where you want to enjoy good conversation, it felt a bit distracting. We couldn’t help but wish there were no TVs at all—just a little more focus on the dining experience.

Service: Our bartenders were friendly and attentive, managing the busy bar with smiles. As business owners and having both worked in restaurants in the past, we noted that the flow behind the bar could use some tightening up. It was a little disjointed at times, but nothing that can’t be smoothed out with experience. That said, the staff was clearly hustling, and their positive attitudes made up for any hiccups.

Food: The menu offers a mix of classic comfort food and modern twists, and our choices were solid. My husband went for the Burger, which he ordered medium-rare, but it arrived well-done. He still enjoyed it, but it was a little off from his preference. On the other hand, my Salmon BLT on a gluten-free bun was fantastic. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky and tender, and the sandwich was well-balanced in flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, and I’ll definitely be back for that.

Drinks and Value: The drink prices were reasonable, with a nice selection of options that won’t break the bank. Both the food and drinks offered good value for the quality provided—nothing too extravagant, but a solid choice for an enjoyable night out.

Final Thoughts: Overall, we had a positive experience at Downtown Eats. While there are a few areas that could use improvement, such as the TV presence and fine-tuning the service flow, the food was enjoyable and the vibe is certainly one we would revisit. Given the location and reasonable prices, we’re happy to support this spot as it finds its footing. We’ll be back, and hopefully, with even more refined service and an even better...
