I recommend this park for everyone from runners to bikers, nature lovers to families. Early Saturday mornings seem to be the most adventurous days. One day, I ventured off the concrete joggers trail and followed this opening I saw between the trees. It seemed extremely .. well .. I don't want to say scary but it was just erie how quiet it got on the other side of the bush. Anyhow, I saw dirt trails which I walked along and eventually saw rabbits, turtles, and people riding their horses along the trail!

Then there's this one part somewhere off in there a TP where maybe someone built a club house or so. Park is in a safe neighborhood and stretches from Royal/Greenville on down to Walnut Hill. Believe it or not, there used to be a large dense (city Forest) up in there before the demolition and organized construction. Anyhow, check out the pics and if you ever need help from a neighborhood realtor, give me a call....

A beautiful, huge park with a number of trails, and areas to explore, just north of the city. Not to mention that white rock trail runs straight through Moss park, making it a great starting point for a walk, run, or ride. There is also 2 small playgrounds sitting next to eachother, as well as a number of grill pits, and parking that is adequate most days (not including weekends in the afternoon). I've come to this park all my life, and I can still find new places, trails, and corners to explore. The only downsides are the trash which can get crazy next to the creek, especially after it rains, but the playground and grilling area are as clean as any other park,so that's good. There can also be a ton of mosquitos every once in a while. Despite those 2 issues, and maybe a few I can't recall at the moment, this park is a classic park that has been around forever. Great place for a...

This is a VERY large park with a walking trail that extends from the parking lot at corner of Royal/Greenville Ave all the way to White Rock Lake! There is ample room for playing sports or BBQing (there are a few grills and picnic tables) or just a good place to wander and explore the creek or the Nature Preserve in the back of the park which has many trails through it. The parking lot can be quite treacherous as it has so many huge potholes that fill up with water - careful driving in!! Has a great playscape for the kiddos too. One of my favorite places to hike...

This park is truly a hidden gem. It has a small playground, parking lot, open forest, grassland and more dense forest with trails all throughout. Some folks are a little weary of the more dense forest trails as they can be confusing and isolating but I think that is the allure of this place. Props to the community members that volunteer for a large part of its upkeep.
