What a treasure. Wide walking trails. Several playgrounds. Drinking fountains. Parking lots. Easy to maneuver a double stroller too. Welcoming to people of all sizes, colors and shapes. A terrific park. Well done City of Dallas. Working bathrooms or clean port a potties would have earned five stars but neither of those were found. The playground had age appropriate climbing structures- for whatever age child you have. And it was convenient to have a toddler playground right next to the bigger playground so it was easy to have multiple children in one area and I could see them all. The park is mostly level and there is a stone pavilion in the park which is so beautiful. I am so glad I visited and will definitely return. .

I am so greatful for kiest Park I had to post about it. Not everyone can get around to go far to see Christmas lights, and Kiest Park brought Christmas lights to our community. Thank you because your efforts and thoughts of the set up is appreciated. I stopped and embraced your lights with my daughter and enjoyed every moment. I saw families coming in and taking pictures with their little ones. A little toddlers excitement captured my heart. It's not Walt Disney lights but the heart behind it is bringing a lot of smiles to some families in this community. Thank you

This is a very nice park with a long run of paths to walk, run, or bike on. There are many benches and water fountains throughout the park, which are great for resting and rehydrating while enjoying your time here. My dog enjoyed the cool water from the dog fountain after our walk. Kiest park has a playground area for children as well. There are plenty of picnic tables and grilling areas in the shade... as well as a covered pavilion area. There was a group doing a workout dance class the morning I was there... fun!

One of my nephews works for the City of Dallas. Storm Dep’t Water was crushing Code Compliance and I was there to witness it. I think the score ended up being 17-1 and of course my nephew hit a grand slam. It was such a gorgeous night at the park and all the diamonds were full around the park. But where we were with my nephew’s team, bases stayed loaded. I grew up right around the corner from kiest park. So to see the upgrades and revitalization really makes my heart warm to experience and boast about. I mean even the tennis parks were full. The park is so diverse because while there was softball where we were, I saw tennis soccer and a small group of peewee football, and a small karate class in the lawn. Do you know the last time I was in a swing??? The last time I was in kiest park (circa 1990). Sooo much going on all in the same area. We saw a group grilling. We saw dogs and with all the people there, no one was hurt or shot! The playground was amazingly kid AND toddler friendly and they had list park attendees to assist in whatever they could help with. Not to mention a whole exercise montage walking across the bridge when we first pulled in. I mean I don’t normally use the lavatories but RVEN THE THEY WERE CLEAN & not truck stop clean either, but better!!! We were like, “wooowww, is this Kiest park or a nice episode of the Twilight Zone?!” I was so thoroughly impressed with the upgrades & enhancements, I went back a couple of times just to see what else Kiest park had done because by the time the games were over it was pitch black dark-& we were STILL enjoying ourselves. What I love the most is how they kept to the original look for the most part so some of the old trees that started growing side ways and lopsided were still there. Talk about character-not some new manufactured park & fun. Family friends fun food...

I started an exercise regimen today, after being basically inactive for quite some time. I decided that the easiest and least expensive thing to do was go walking. My experience at Kiest Park in Dallas was wonderful. The walking trail had exercise stations all along the length that I walked. There were also many rest areas for those like me who are trying to become more active after a long period of inactivity. The part of the path I especially enjoyed was the wooded area. Maybe it was the time of day,but it was so peaceful there. The trail itself was wide and well maintained and the people I encountered were friendly and well behaved. Admittedly, that may have been because they were for the most part middle aged to senior citizens like me. I will be going...

This is a great park. I exercise here. They have a huge walkway that's 2 miles long around the park. I am a fan of this place. It has a lot of space, the one thing that needs more of is the parking space. But aside from that it is perfect. It has a lot of space at the picnic area for people to come and have family gatherings, celebrate birthdays, open tennis and pickle ball courts. It has baseball and softball fields. It has open areas for children and adults to play soccer. There is a gym and recreation center where people can come and exercise. It has indoor basketball courts at the rec center, but there are also outdoor basketball courts where the playground and tennis courts are. There is lots of greenery and nature for one to relax and enjoy the days....
