If you’re looking for a unique dining experience, Maskaras is a must-visit. The restaurant’s vibrant décor is inspired by luchadores, creating an exciting atmosphere that sets it apart. I ordered the street tacos and quesabirria tacos, and they were absolutely incredible. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it clear that a lot of care goes into their food. Everyone in my party couldn’t stop raving about how unique the restaurant felt and how delicious everything was. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worthwhile. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding. As someone who is hard of hearing, I appreciated their willingness to accommodate my request to lower the music, allowing me to enjoy a great conversation with friends. Maskaras is definitely a place we’ll be visiting again, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food and a fun, lively atmosphere. You’ve got to try it!

Before documenting my dining experience, I have to give accolades in the area of cleanliness, which was A++. The restaurant was immaculately clean: floors, countertops, drink station, every table & chair. After much research, and the desire for street tacos, I decided to visit Mask Aras. Upon entering, I noticed all of the whimsical, colorful masks, and wrestling memorabilia. It was really unique. I was eventually greeted by a friendly staff member, and I ordered the taco platter. I got the food to-go, and it came out quickly. They had multiple beverage options, both non-alcoholic & an assortment of beers (alcoholic). The food was reasonably priced, comparable to other local taco shops. The tacos were pretty good, very flavorful. Wishes: More meat. They skimped on some tacos, and I wish they had fresh limes instead of lemons. Also, the little baggies of hot sauce were difficult to open, and can become messy. Overall, I would definitely visit again, and tell a friend!

Lol even your reviews call you out. Say the truth , yalls food is trash! There’s the truth. Your other reviews are bought because there’s too many saying how bad the service is and how rude you are. If the receipt says something different on the end that’s obviously an issue on your side. Learn how to cook… and yes I let people know if it’s a bad place or the service is awful. That’s the whole point of reviews, so they can avoid places like yours. To the owner … I checked UberEats menu.. it only has quesobirria crispy tacos or birria street tacos-which are $2.99. I ordered the quesobirria tacos, it says with cheese. Also the flautas my daughter got were not good either. And I did review it on UberEats, instead of being so rude fix your menu. I stand by my review …. I ordered from UberEats, charged crazy expensive for mediocre food. Even the birria tacos came with no cheese or consume. The add says cheese and for $4.75 each taco, it was not worth it.

The owner of this place is a very disrespectful person. This place charges a transaction fee for using a credit card but does not make you aware of this. I find this to be deceptive and when I brought this up to dispute the charge I was met with name calling. I was called a child. All I was stating is that they alert people to this so they can make a decision. He stated in 7years that he had never been confronted about it and that I should bring it up with the processor. He didn't understand the issue. At one point he brought up that other merchants are charging for this and I said I don't care about other merchants and only the one I am dealing with currently, you. He then stated he didn't care either about other merchants. Then why did you bring it up. Edit: response to the owner response. The 50cents was given to me by the woman you "claim" I aggravated(which you clearly dont understand the meaning). Your other customer tried to give me money and not your business. Claiming the attempted generosity as the fix is your unprofessionalism showing again. The same woman assaulted me as I tried to return her change. That is when you asked me to leave. I didn't dispute that and left but not after letting you know that a patron of yours assaulted me and that I was calling the police that she even requested I call. This woman had nothing to do with the situation between me and the business(you). She interjected herself into the situation you clearly can't resolve. She assaulted me so please turn that footage over to the police as I will need it to file charges. Her situation is different from you and I. People should not just be going around hitting people. If she is doing it to me for simply trying to return change then it needs to be addressed so that others in society know she has a history of violence. Hitting people with no justice is not allowed in my book. Did you know while waiting in the parking lot for the police that another patron came to me to agree with my stance. It's not right that you charge the fee without alerting people. Simple. All over 43cents. Calling me a liar is very short sided and unbecoming and going forward I hope you calm yourself and seek guidance in life and how to run a business. I left the burrito at your establishment after reentering asking for a refund. You told me no the refund and to leave again. Yes I will be disputing the charge with my card company to receive the refund as I stated I was not made aware of a charge prior swiping my card and you would not refund me. You were in possession...

This place itself has a nice interior, but unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the owner. The owner's behavior was extremely rude and disrespectful. It is evident that his primary concern is money rather than the satisfaction of their customers. In fact, the owner's quote, "it's not my problem if the customer likes the food or not," reflects their lack of empathy. When I ordered some tacos that were not up to par, the owner refused to exchange them or provide a refund. Even though it was my first visit, the owner was unwilling to listen to my concerns. It was a complete waste of both money and time, and it is worth noting that the owner's belief that clients only come for the service is misguided. People visit restaurants primarily for the FOOD, and if the owner genuinely believes otherwise, they should consider the needs and preferences of their customers instead of focusing on their own interests.

I have no intention of returning to this establishment, and I cannot recommend it to anyone for either the service or the food.

Update: what the owner is saying is a complete lie. I only ate 1 taco and gave it all to the nice lady who pick up everything. My TODDLER didn’t even eat the beans or rice. Try to be more honest with yourself.

Not only is the owner a lier but doesn’t know his place to judge a family. I can’t imagine what he says about every family who has little kids. Sad. I pray the lord leads you to repentance and a soft heart for...

The decor is AWESOME and the owner was so nice and friendly. They did a great job at branding this business. However, I personally did not like what I ordered (sorry :/ ). This place has so much potential, but the food needs improvement. Owner was so nice I didn't have the heart to say that I didn't like the food. Maybe hire a more experienced cook, I don't know. Seems like business is slow, but the quality of the food shouldn't suffer because of it. Also, the menu should get simplified. Way too many items on the menu. Most of the time people don't know what they want (ex. ME) and too many choices just makes it even more overwhelming. They should focus on quality not quantity. A smaller menu means a better quality food experience for customers. They have so many menu items that they end up falling short on the quality of the food. Lighting is also too bright.. really nice lighting, but for food it needs softer lighting. Bright lights on food makes food look less appetizing. It sucks that this beautiful place opened in such a dead area of Dallas. That area has been dead for YEARS. Even with the food they have now.. this place would have way better success in the Bishop Arts District, Greenville Avenue, Trinity Grove, Uptown Dallas, or even Jefferson Blvd (which is getting revamped). Maybe they should think about changing locations! Too much money invested for that area. Best of...
