Catfish Connection — Restaurant in Dallas

I went to catfish connection 3 times within 2 weeks, that's just how good their fish was! I mentioned to the guy on my 4th visit "I'm back, and I brought my mom back this time!" He was not thrilled. My mom lives in the Alliance area, and I live south of Fort Worth (50 minute drive). So, I took my mom (December 17, 2022) since she'd been looking for a good catfish spot. We ordered the 2 piece (non-spicy) fish with fries (no salt). The first bite of my fish was so spicy, it choked me! I informed the guy who brings your oder out that my fish was extremely spicy and his response was "It's not spicy, you ordered the non-spicy" and "I had a pepper and the sauce was spicy" I told him no sir, this is definitely "Spicy" and I didn't eat my pepper, nor used their sauce! My mom bit into her fish, and it was spicy also! So spicy that tears were coming out of her eyes. Smh. We had to go to the snow cone shop next door for something to cool our mouths off. My mom stopped the guy who brings out your order and told him "that fish was definitely spicy, it has my eyes watering" his only response was "well I'm sorry, the fish is not spicy" and walked away. I'm well aware of their "spicy" and "non-spicy" fish because I do not eat spicy foods, and the first 3 times I went their fish was excellent and definitely NOT SPICY. Just don’t go here!! I ordered a 5pc fillet asked the lady how long bc I had my nieces and nephew and didn’t want them to get antsy… she said 15-20min I came back in at 15 minutes they continued talking to a man trying to sell fruit cups and after 7-8 minutes of talking to him she quickly says 11, 35, 7 I walked up and said is my food ready? She asked what I had….. I said the 5pc fillet she then says …. OH what’s your receipt number? I said what #? She goes look at the number on your receipt……. Again good just sitting and ultimately by the time I go back get the receipt just to get my order my food was freezing cold…… I mean there was no moisture in the container a slight coldness even! Like they put it in the fridge and pulled it out 10mins later I was so hurt and mad I asked for an extra sauce and they wanted to charge me yall!!!!! Out of my (insert age here) years I've always passed this place up. Now I'm highly disappointed that i have all these years! The first "taste test" bite was so good I said screw a pic lol. I called in a 4pc spicy fillet order, took them no time to make it. The customer service was wonderful from over the phone and face to face. Ok to the food lol. First of all, I opened my box to see I not only had 4pcs of fish but they even gave me 2 more pcs! I think this place is one of the few that actually still give you bread like whats fish without bread! I wrapped a pc of bread around my fish and dipped it in their tartar sauce (just looking at the sauce it looks AMAZING) Y'all I almost went back to the place to slap WHOMEVER made that tartar!
