Southern Skates Roller Rink — Attraction in Dallas

This place really let us down . 'very disapointed' is not even close enough to describe how i feel.. Had reserved this place for a private party on feb 3 2019 from 7-9pm for my sons 5 year birthday. As we were reserving on jan 20 2019 and made the payment i was told i can come in around 6:30 on reserved day to start setting up.. So we're getting there around 6:30 and as were pulling up not one car insight , all the doors are locked and lights off.. They were gone ! All my guests are getting there gathering up infront of the door and you wont understand how embarrasing it was to explain to them the date was reserved and these guys are not here . i banged on the doors which triggered the security alarm to go off inside the building wich made police officer show up. I explained the situation to the officer and showed him the receipt to confirm date and time of reservatiom and sure enough he agreed everuthing was correct. The officer tried to call the number linked and connected with the security alarm and nothing ... No luck.. He let me know he couldn't do much himself but gibe me a police report and advised me to try to come up with a plan B and resolve the situation with these guys I ended up having everyone come over to my house and try to come up with something here . that has been my most embarrassing, disappointing, upseting night...

Family and i absolutely love this place...we tried cheating cuz it was closed one day never again will that happen...this passed weekend was another even better memory and expreience...my husband even went home with a blk eye by skating into the wall twice playing tagged and racing...they was very quick to care for him while i sat back and laughed....the staff is beyond amazing wit my kids and adults...my kids are in love with this place...literaly all problems left at the door..i forget about the struggles we have...the staff wounderful even the guy that givess out the skates he hooks us up every time...im making it a goal to come every weekend this seems to be helping with my depression by being round good energy...everytime we hit the door they know us they make us feel like family...i cant completly express the joy we have here at this place my husband even wants to be apart of this team......AS A FAMILY I RECOMMEND. SOUTHERN SKATES ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SMALL CHILDREN THE MOTIVATION FROM THE STAFF WILL GET UR CHILD READY TO GET OUT THERE BURN ENERGY AND SKATE THEY LIL...

DJ IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ON ADULT NIGHT!!! He does not know how to actually MIX music…he will will literally go from super fast music to super slow music. The BPM absolutely do not match. This rink hires anybody willing to call themselves a DJ. I’ve been going here for months and it has been terrible. The. City should really look into hiring people that are passionate about their job not just trying to make a quick buck. DJing isn’t about just playing music especially when it comes to an actually community that comes together every week to skate. We need a DJ that actually understand this community and knows what they’re doing. A lot of us have been coming here for YEARS and the quality of DJs has quickly declined. If you don’t believe me ask for a spreadsheet of the numbers if the people in attendance it has also declined...
