I was looking for somewhere to stay in Marblehead as a last minute get away from the city (Columbus), and came across this beautiful property on Google Maps. So glad I did! ||[Lengthy review, but worth it if you’re looking to stay] ||Chris (the owner) was very helpful and accommodating our 2 night, last minute stay. We were on the 3rd floor in the Lakeside Room. As others have mentioned and Chris explained prior to making the reservation, there are no elevators and they do offer to carry your bags, both which were no problems for us being younger. ||The ROOM was absolutely pristine. We travel often and have frequented many Inns, Private BnBs as well as corporate AirBnBs and have yet to come across one this clean! (see my other Google reviews) We even slept with the comforter ON the bed of that speaks to you! Plenty of towels, extra linens, toiletries, and a blow dryer. The kitchen was well stocked although we didn’t use it to cook. I’d call it an efficiency kitchen, but really, it is a standard, small, full size kitchen. ||The interior of the property itself was super quaint! There was a spiral staircase leading to a ‘widows watch’ or ‘lookout tower’ that had spectacular views of the lake! On the 2nd floor landing, there was a well stocked library and coffee + water at that was much appreciated in the mornings:) There was even a jar of Nature Valley bars, which was nice to grab on our way to sight see for the day! The exterior of the property was obviously adjoined with the winery (see my review) and offered many places to relax and enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of vino. They also had complementary bicycles out front, 1st come, 1st serve, which was a fun little way to get around the village for a bit. ||Obviously the pièce de résistance to us was the winery on the property, which we thoroughly enjoyed! They had a very good array of sweet to dry wines, as well as some spirits, bottle, can, and local draft craft beer. ||We had a wonderful stay, would recommend, and...

Read moreOne night stay for our anniversary in the Bay Point Room. Greeted by Chris the owner who was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very cute. Nice view of the lake from the bed! We took advantage of the full kitchen to cook breakfast in the morning which was nice since it was rainy and we were not in a hurry to leave. We had arrived at 3pm check in, took a short driving tour of the area then settled in at the winery for drinks. As guests we were given a coupon for a free cheese plate and a bottle of wine. We tried a flight of wines outside then settled on two glasses of our favorite. We were allowed to swap our free bottle for one we liked better and took that home. The setting is very nice, relaxing and the staff are friendly. We had our anniversary dinner at Gideon Owen winery nearby. The lighthouse is worth a visit and very close by. Bikes are available to Inn guests. Really nice stay, would...
