Rachel's Lakeside — Attraction in Dartmouth

Throughout the whole process of planning my wedding Sherri, Tyler, & Katie were all a pleasure to work with! However, it was Katie that I worked most with towards the end & did the majority of the work the day of & who I feel like deserves some extra recognition. She had the room setup way ahead of time so that I was able to see everything at the rehersal. She made everything look perfect & exactly the way I wanted, which saved me the trouble of getting to the venue extra early the day of to do a walk through of everything. She was also a joy to have around when I was getting ready. She made a point of checking in with me periodically to let me know when the wedding party & vendors had arrived & that she had gotten them setup as well. On top of that she checked in with me to make sure I was good & when my mom was having trouble doing my bustle she came to the rescue! She even started the camera to record our ceremony, so I didn't have to bother the groomsmen to do it. Also did I mention she made a point to have her outfit match my wedding colors?! Honestly, she went above & beyond & I couldn't be more greatful. I felt like everything was so on point when she was there & I wish she could've stayed the whole night. All in all it was a pretty perfect day. The only recommendation I have for the venue is that if you get hor d'oeuvres make sure the servers save some for or bring some to the bride & groom while they're getting photos done. That & if you get desserts have the servers bring out a little bit of everything, not one thing at a time. But in short if you want to have an effortless wedding that's beautiful & won't break the bank have it Rachel's Lakeside. Sherri, Tyler, & Katie all want your day to be perfect & will answer any questions you have along the way & do everything for you to put your mind at ease to make...

I was there for a Christmas party. The venue itself is a very basic but elegant venue. It appeared to have 3 function halls. Ours also overlooked a deck. The bar was to the immediate left of the entrance. The bar staff were very personable and quick. We had: Cesar salad; rolls; sweet potatoes; fingerling potatoes; baked stuffed chicken called Azorean chicken; pork tenderloin; scallops and shrimp; salmon; pasta with sausage/chicken strips; and if there was something else it was not memorable...The chicken was good, the salmon well seasoned...it was starting to get dry, but for banquet style, it was B+, the three bites of salad were great. I did not have any of the desserts. My table seemed to have enjoyed them.

The biggest con was the wait staff did not seem to want to be there. The server for our table kept taking away food from our table. I wasn't even done my salad when she took it. A person at my table had their food taken away halfway through. They did not complain but simply got another plate, but they were surprised. I think the part that bothered me the most is that the room was from 6-10. We felt rushed out by staff at 9:00-9:15 when they started taking off everything off tables while we chatted...centerpieces, but our drinks too!! We were trying to converse while they rummaged things off the table. Some people milled about but we left. I did use the bathroom which I rate an A. Plenty of shall and three urinals. We had 87+ people as well. Overall I give them a B. The bar staff was top...

I just want to take a moment to thank Sophia and the entire team at Rachel's Lakeside for going absolutely above and beyond to make June 1st a night we will never forget.

From the very beginning, we toured several venues in search of the perfect place to celebrate our wedding, and Rachel’s stood out from the rest. Sophia was the only coordinator who truly took the time to listen, understand our vision, and help us shape the perfect day. Her communication was outstanding. She walked us through every step of the planning process, laid out a clear timeline, and was always available to answer questions or offer support.

On the big day, Sophia and the staff delivered above and beyond expectations. The venue was beautifully set up and decorated, and when our photo wall didn’t arrive, they even created a gorgeous impromptu photo backdrop for us, something we’ll never forget. The outdoor ceremony space was picture-perfect, with the light hitting just right as my bride walked down the aisle.

The food was phenomenal, the drinks were flowing, and the space was more than comfortable for all our guests. Everything felt seamless and full of love. I truly can’t thank everyone enough for making our special day as magical as it was.
