Alderman Park — Attraction in Dayton

One side of park on Dayton side has easy river access including concrete steps down to water even at it's low summer level,as well as a boat ramp. The closest home offers kayak rentals which makes it easy for all to explore even if you don't own a boat or watercraft. A huge wooden foot bridge connects to dog park on East side of bridge as well as Vintages R.V.Park... Picnic tables are conveniently...

The park itself is on the left and you have to cross the bridge to get too it. Problem is, the website doesn't tell you the bridge is closed. (Nov. 2020)😫😥 Drive further over to the right to get to the boat ramp and river access. No hiking...

I like this area. It's an ok place to fish if you don't have a boat, but can only fit about four people on the ramp, and have to watch out for lots of kayaks coming and going....
