Eastwood MetroPark Lake Entrance — Attraction in Dayton

UPDATE: we went back and found the 2 ducks still together and resting. I got pics now. Absolutely gorgeous and ive never seen a black duck like this female. The white duck is protective of her but she is of him as well. Today I saw a pure black duck with a white chest. It was not a mallard. It's very rare but I didn't get a picture because my little dog was over heating. As important as it was for me to get that Pic I couldn't risk my little vibes health. This duck was hanging out with a pure white duck with an orange beak and orange feet. I'm thinking a Peking duck which is also rare to see in the wild. I can't find that black duck in any bird app. I'm positive it was not a mallard. It also was not a black bellied whistling duck which would not even be seen around...

this place does NOT allow swimming!!! you are only allowed to get on and off your jet ski, boat, etc. you’re not allowed to be in the water at all unless that. no chairs in the water, walking in the water, or anything unless you are actively getting on and off your ski. unless you want a fine:) they should place no swimming signs in the water to prevent having to give out tickets. think instead of making it everyone...

Great place to go kayaking with my daughter. Easy access to the water. Tried fishing too, but didn't catch anything. It is crowded on the weekends, but that was expected. Only complaint is the gravel section at the far end of the parking lot has some really bad potholes. Also could use some extra patrols by the park rangers. People were openly smoking pot in the middle of the day, and I don't want myself or my kid...
