A nice flyer with information about the house, fort and family, was available for visitors. Around the site are stations that also have information for visitors. Small parking lot.

A group of volunteers banded together to save this historic home. As they restore it, various events are held throughout the year. My favorite is the Colonial Crafts Trade Fair in June where living historians are on site demonstrating various jobs, crafts and amusements including dancing...

Fort Harrison was closed the day we were there however they made arrangements with Norma Koogler to open the doors for us (7 total). We enjoyed the visit for the history and family (Koogler) connection....
