So surprising, you see an old park and old typical barely noticeable trail entrance and then it takes you around some subdivisions in a fenced in boardwalk. Then after about a mile it becomes a bit more trail like. At that point one can also veer off the trail. I love it, it is the perfect outdoorsy thing for city people. I went on a Sunday and there was no time I was walking alone. The crowd was awesome (for me), people with dogs, families, joggers, elderly, all the types of people one feels safe around in society. The only thing I missed was the “wildlife” mentioned in several signs, I didn’t even see a squirrel. Where are the critters and birds??

The PATH Foundation is the private non-profit that builds and maintains the trails. You'll see other comments about specific features and details about this section. Notably, it is totally within an urban forest. You can walk nearly the entire length of this section in peaceful shade, with long stretches right along the creek.
