This is a nature hiking trail area. There are no restrooms, playground, or picnic area. Very peaceful, narrow dirt pathways. I have pushed both four wheel and three wheel baby buggies on the path, but it can be a bit difficult at times with the tree roots and rocks. It is possible if you stay on the purple hash trail which is the main loop. There is a white hash trail that is within the interior of the purple hash loop. I would not recommend mountain biking, simply because the trail is very narrow and people, pets, and baby buggies may a require dismounting, so bring lots of patience if you attempt. Great for walking with toddlers who love the forest. Three Creeks converge here so there are many water views. If walking in fall, use a stick to sweep the spider webs, those yellow and black spiders are pretty active. Harmless. I end up catching webs in the face if I don't use a "spider stick". There is no parking lot. You have to park on the street at the intersection of Desmond and Park, where the...
Read moreLovely little neighborhood park with a network of trails, some of which are rather muddy in rainy weather (don't let that stop you, just bring appropriate footwear if it's been raining), all of which are pleasantly navigable. We're at the end of poison ivy season, but I didn't see any turning leaves even, which is excellent for walking with kids. Biodiversity is improving: Lots of privet and some other undesirables, but I'm editing to add that I have noticed concerted effort at removing invasive and replacing with natives. If the Creek is low, it connects via an otherwise submerged rock"bridge" to the old waterworks, abundantly surrounded by natives and interesting graffiti, and connects to the extensive and well-loved South Peachtree...
Read moreThe only thing I could say about the trail is that the address given to me was not to the direct location where there's parking. Dont use the Desmond address it's a residential property. Use the 1400 McConnell Dr. and if you want to explore the trails, make sure it's on a dry day otherwise there's paved pathways you can stay on. I love the scenery. There's a trail for dogs. There's 3 pathways & the trees are marked with the colors of the path you chose. They are white, purple & blue (dog...
