Resort Point Overlook — Attraction in Delaware Water Gap

Out of the three overlook sites on the PA side of the Gap, this one has the best view of the Delaware in my opinion. It also has access to a few nearby hiking trails, including an entrance to the Appalachian Trail. The view of Mt. Tammany is not nearly as good as Point of the Gap or Arrow Island overlook, but it’s a bit farther from Mt. Minsi so you can get a better view of it here. This area although it is beautiful can only slightly be called an overlook as you're very limited on what you can actually see. There is so much greenery in front of the viewing area, small trees that need to be removed and even larger ones further down the hill that block your view from taking in panoramic view. This is actually the site of an old resort (hence the name "resort point"). This resort was one of a few that were along and served by the Delaware Lakawana and Western Railroad (the same railroad that built the viaduct a few miles down the river).
