Out of the three overlook sites on the PA side of the Gap, this one has the best view of the Delaware in my opinion. It also has access to a few nearby hiking trails, including an entrance to the Appalachian Trail. The view of Mt. Tammany is not nearly as good as Point of the Gap or Arrow Island overlook, but itโ€™s a bit farther from Mt. Minsi so you can get a better view of it here. It is a bit closer to I-80, so the highway noise is a little more intense here too. There were a lot of bees buzzing around when I came, which I loved but my girlfriend......

This area although it is beautiful can only slightly be called an overlook as you're very limited on what you can actually see. There is so much greenery in front of the viewing area, small trees that need to be removed and even larger ones further down the hill that block your view from taking in panoramic view. There is across the street a very beautiful waterfall that can be viewed from the bottom and if your adventurous and willing to make your way up very sketchy unmaintained path you can get them even better pictures and access to the...

This is actually the site of an old resort (hence the name "resort point"). This resort was one of a few that were along and served by the Delaware Lakawana and Western Railroad (the same railroad that built the viaduct a few miles down the river). Sadly, the resort died when the DL&W died. It had no way of brining in goods, as service was slow to return to this line. Shortly after. a highway bridge was built here, and any trace of the hotel/resort vanished. (except for the...

We were here back in October of 2018 on our 20th anniversary. We had a planned trip where we arrived in New York and had to leave from New York. We were coming back from Canada and took the long way back to New York, passing through Pennsylvania. We stopped here because of the mountain. I love mountains - especially being born and raised in Oklahoma. It is a must see for any Okie!! Totally recommend!!!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
