This is not a castle.. This is the lovely Castle Inn. Visiting the Castle Inn is like stepping back in time. The tour led by our guide, Scott, brought the fascinating history of this beautiful place to life. The Inn's free historical video at the Castle Theater added a layer of depth to our understanding of the place. Really worth a watch! What can I say about the chocolate malt milkshake at Zoe's Ice Cream Parlor. It was an absolute treat! A sip will transport you to an old-timey, cozy parlor where sweetness and delight are the main ingredients. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or just looking for things to do in the Pocono Mountains, Castle Inn and its surroundings are a must-visit. So much to see and do, we'll definitely be coming back! Hope this helps future visitors plan their day!

Second trip here to show a friend. It's an interesting tour of a surviving grand hotels from the turn of the last century. Middle class vacationers flocked to the town of Delaware Water Gap to escape the heat of the city and enjoy the beauty of the Delaware River in the Poconos. We got there early to peruse the shops.

Was a little hesitant when arrived at Castle Inn as the current structures are not what is depicted in the advertisements. However we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the tour. While this restoration is definitely still very much a work in progress we really enjoyed seeing what has been completed to date. And very much appreciate the owner's attempts to be true to the original architecture. The education of the history and stories of Delaware Water Gap was exceptional. Scott was a very knowledgeable and enjoyable tour guide. Highly recommend. Worth every penny, and more of the $10...

We live in PA and decided to visit Stroudsburg PA for a short two day visit as we like to explore interesting places off- the beaten path. First of all, this is not remotely a castle. The old drawings depict a resort complex from 100 years ago that mostly no longer exists. So there is not much to see. The tour is well done. Joan is knowledgeable and a good communicator. We learned a considerable amount about the former glory of Stroudsburg. We felt somewhat mislead by the advertising for the tour. But if you're a history buff you may feel this...
