Newhouse Park — Attraction in Delmont

Very nice park located in Delmont, Pennsylvania. This park has a lot to offer including a basketball court, tennis court, volleyball and two baseball fields. There is also a small paved trail that wraps around the park for walkers or runners. No dogs are allowed at the park but the only way I knew this was walking the trail there were a few spots spray painted "no pets" into the pavement. There is also a gazebo and a pavilion with a good bit of picnic tables underneath it. They do have a few small exercise machines along the trail. There's public restrooms here and in the winter the have an area for sleds you can use for sledding...

I was there for a bridal shower that was held in the community center. It was a very large room with round tables, a lot of natural light, kitchen, and bathrooms. The building was in the middle of the park close to ballgames and children's play area and yet we didn't hear any noise inside the building. There was special parking for the community center right outside the building. I would highly recommend this place for your function. This is a great park to visit on a nice spring day. There are a few swing sets, a playground, a pavilion, baseball field, tennis court, basket ball court, and deck hockey court. There is a pleasant path that spans around the entire park that is great for taking the dog on a walk. The convenience of a Dairy Queen near by makes it a perfect spot to pick up some icecream and take a walk around the park. My dog loves it and...
