Skatelands of America — Attraction in Denison

Weekly outing for kids and I! Never thought I would look so forward skating regularly each week! My 2 daughters and I go every Friday from 7-10. We host the youngest's birthday parties here and love every aspect of it. The owners and employees are very kind to every visitor and I feel they truly love providing a safe place for kids to come have fun. The youngsters that come to skate look out for one another, offering help when one falls or giving tips and advise to become a better skater. I highly recommend coming skating with us!!!

New Year's Eve 2024- 1st time bringing in the new year with Skatelands of America, but done with zero regrets. The team had planned the evening flawlessly with a balloon drop, welcoming the arrival of 2025. We played all the traditional games such as limbo, dice game, as well as the option to participate in age categorized races. The staff also coordinated a balloon relay to keep everybody's energy up and firing along side the always great sounding jam tunes. With fun games, great music and a well decorated and lit skate floor; coming here is always fulfilling. To top it all off, I can't emphasize enough of the attention and care the staff provides for all the youngsters that attend. My two children and I come nearly every Friday and hold the youngest birthday parties with Skatelands. As an adult, I've gained an appreciation for the art of skating. I look forward to each opportunity to bring my kids up to skate and practice along side them. Such a fun a safe place to spend time together. If you haven't come up; I encourage you to join us! Private birthday in August was awesome. The folks assigned to our party were top notch. My other kids said they wanted their next birthday parties there as well...

Tonight it was a different story. We went to Skatelands Denison for the KPOP Demon Hunter night was a mismanaged disaster. Kids getting knocked over, adults and kids trying to take the trainers from mine and other kids. Way overcrowded and completely understaffed. Gong show at best. Spent $52 for 3 kids to skate (I was charged and had no intention of skating) plus trainers for the kids. Was there barely an hour and witnessed at least a dozen kids getting hurt and two of my three ended up getting hurt by other people falling onto them resulting in them falling.

I talked to the owner on the way out stating my displeasure over the crowded environment and injuries. Response was something like "I can't control how many people show up to these things". Yes, you can actually. This event should have had tickets sold in advance with either a more limited or timed capacity. Not just letting hundreds of people in like a herd of cattle waiting to go to pasture.

The private party I held for my daughter a few weeks prior was almost $900 after gratuity. For the owner not to give a care about my comments was really disappointing. As a result I told him flat out I will not have additional birthday parties for my...

IF I COULD PUT ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! We came looking for a skateland our friend just opened and we went to this place by accident. We realized 2 minutes in that we were at the wrong place. Kids who looked 10 years old were cussing everywhere. We were appalled to see such a terrible skating rink!! We got up and asked for a refund explain that we were at the wrong skating rink. She said I can't give y'all a refund but I can give you a voucher. Like really are you serious?? We never want to come here again because your insane. We told her about the kids and she said well I still can't give you a refund. So we asked to speak to the owner and she said she is the owner. We were in extreme shock!
