This park has a little of something for everyone and every season. During the winter Ruby Hill is the place you want to go when considering going sledding. It has a large hill, hence the name of the park, that is fun going down but a long walk to come back up. Not a hill to take very young children to as it is a rather large hill and might be a little too big or fast for very young kids. As much fun as it can be in snow, it just might be even better during warmer weather. There is a baseball field usually open that can be played on. There is an outdoor swimming pool, with a lifeguard on duty, an extensive BMX bike track that has hills, ramps and all sorts of things. Not a place for beginners but looks like fun. And a wonderful playground for children of all ages. There is a covered area with tables and benches to enjoy your food, and a porta potty nearby just in case. Plenty of parking both handicap accessible and regular. A very clean park without many problems. It is a great place to watch fireworks on the 4th of July due to its amazing vantage point and high elevation with panoramic views. Also an amazing romantic place just to park and watch the sunset, or sunrise depending on how long your date went lol. Overall a great place regardless of who you are or what you are looking for. Easily the best park in...

This park is amazing, it start at the South Platter River basin, and takes a step climb. The turf is lush and green. As all Denver parks it is well kept. There are plenty of mature trees with full foliage.
It offers two softball parks and a dirt track for bicyclists. I was very impressed with the bicycle track. Beyond that it brings the community together plenty of open space as well as a child's playground. There is some type of pavilion here which I've never experienced.
It's a relatively large park and I do believe they have a snowboard run during the winter months. Not just after it snows but, to the best of my knowledge, they actually produce their own snow to keep everybody moving down Ruby Hill. The other great thing about this spot are the views. I have watched fireworks from the top of the hill, over the Eastern part of the city. There is much open space at the park. I often see people with there dog taking a stroll. Lease is required.
Ruby Hill definitely has a lot to offer. It's a beautiful park with a lot of space and plenty of views. Always family friendly. This is definitely a staple of the community. Given the chance come check it out...
Read moreNo stars. I really hate this park now. I had a lot of goods times there while no one interfered. Now you can't even go there to enjoy your day without the grounds keepers trying to run you off the grass with their big LawnMowers just so they can cut the grass, my kids have been chased by the grounds keepers on four wheelers cause they where Riding kick scooters where the big dirt jumps are just so they can smooth out the Dirt. Its Dirt. I have seen the the Grounds Keepers Chase KIDS out of the park cause they where fixing their mini bikes. I thought the man on the big Lawnmower was going to hit them with his Machine the way he turned the blades at them and proceeded to Chase them with the Big LawnMower. I have tried to call and talk to their supervisor but when I explain what I have Experienced the man laughed and hung up the Phone. So now I tell my kids not to go there.
