LaBelle Winery Derry Event Center — Attraction in Derry

Unfortunately I have to express my unhappiness with last night's event regarding the Eagles tribute. Some of the concerns weren't necessarily with the band, it was with the venue.

While the band was playing there was a lot of noise at the back of the room as people were more interested in talking and yelling while the band was playing. We never saw anyone from the staff asking them to quiet down so that did become a real disappointment. It was very distracting and annoying. Again, let me reiterate, the disturbance was during the band playing not during breaks which would have been fine.

Obviously the chairs were pretty uncomfortable but I could have lived with that. An improvement in the comfort of the chairs would be a plus.

What was interesting that the wine served in the bar (before the venue started) was very tasty but when ordering wine inside the venue it wasn't tasty at all and felt like it was a cheaper choice. The problem is, they were the same price so why serve a lesser wine?

The cover band was fine but having seen other bands cover the Eagles, I wouldn't see this particular band again.

We attended the Paris valentine’s dinner on 2/15/25. It was a sold out event, and I had high expectations for a really special event, particularly for the cost. Unfortunately, this event did not really meet our expectations. It was set up nicely, the chocolate fountain was a nice touch. The charcuterie board was small for the number in attendance as some loaded up like it may be their last meal.

I didn’t enjoy the wine pairings served with each course, probably just my taste. The food was ok, actually some pretty basic dishes with fancy names. For the main entree, sirloin steak was served. It was a large piece. Unfortunately it was grisly and worse it was cooked medium and quite rare in the center. They all appeared to be cooked the same. This was inedible for my wife, and too rare for me as well. There was no sending anything back and no way to remedy the situation.

The wait staff seemed overwhelmed and not particularly professional. I would never attend an event like this at LaBelle again. I could have had an amazing meal at a great steakhouse for the $200.00 plus tax, plus gratuities. Put me down as not...

I wanted to say the service and food were very good. I want to give the operations manager in Derry Jalen LeBlanc a job well done. We went into the bar as we waited for our table to be ready. As we looked around where to stand and order a drink, Jalen approached us and inquired if we needed help. We asked about types of scotch that were available. He brought around, pointing out the varieties. Once we made our choice, he went behind the bar and made our drinks personally. He brought them to us and asked if there was anything else he could help with. We thanked him and our table was ready soon after. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. He was an example of what American service should be about. It set us up for an enjoyable experience. Thank you, Jalen, for taking the time to welcome us and go the extra mile.
