Future Event Center & Conference Room — Attraction in DeSoto

I tried to support a black-owned business and sincerely regret it. The owner Shannon is nice, however she will tell you one thing verbally, then do another thing in contract. I was forced to pay for a bartender for a kids party, I was told liquor was included in that price prior to paying the money, come the day of the event we saw no liquor and a lazy bartender. I asked for a refund and told her we didn’t even need the bartender and was denied a refund. I was also forced to pay for a “party attendant” and the party attendant was LAZY! Did absolutely no work!! My guests had to help me get food out the car and setup! Isn’t that what a party attendant is for??? I feel completely ripped off! They charged me 2100 for the venue and decorations and then nickeled and dimed every single thing after that from the Bluetooth speaker to the photo backdrop. I will never book with Future again, and will definitely not recommend them to anyone. They even make you clean the venue not just typical cleaning but sweeping, mopping, and emptying their dumpster!! Isn’t that why I paid 2k?? They did absolutely no work and were no help.

The owner told me 600 for the space over the phone, told me 1200 in person, then sent me a contract for 2100! Scammers! Look at the breakdown of the contract and the owner just added so much extra stuff that I didn’t need or ask for such as a bartender. Mind you this is a party for teenagers! Why am I forced to have a bartender?? I asked was the liquor included in the fee for the bartender and the owner said yes! Fast forward to the day of the event she tells me no, the liquor is not included AFTER I had already paid for the service! When I told reminded her of the conversation she denied it refused to issue a refund. Then added a “party attendant”, which I didn’t need but was forced to have and pay for.

Lazy, money hungry and flat out scammers! I will never book another event here!

We had an AMAZING and FABULOUS time Saturday night as we celebrated our daughter’s Sweet 16 Party here!!! Thank you and your crew SO MUCH!!!! She was overjoyed and absolutely LOVED the candy bar!!!
