this is always a great place to have a picnic when you coming up from the south the sign will say next exit that's really not true because of the road construction you have to go up to exit 6 go to the top of the exit take a left and then follow the directions you got to follow the directions very carefully because if you take the first left coming up he'll just take it right back on route 4 southbound but overall it's a good place to have a nice picnic the best place to go is not where all the boat launches are and everything and everybody's hanging out there you want to go on the other side you want to go on what I would call the southbound side it's more laid back there they have some nice picnic tables it's a good place to go one of the things I find annoying is where people will put a sheet on a picnic table and then they're nowhere to be found I saw that this past Sunday and it really tick me off I mean if you're going to be having a picnic have the picnic don't just hog the table you're not in a cruise where you can hog the chairs because basically if there was not a free table I would have gone right over there and taking the sheet right off that table because we didn't see anybody around there you can have a picnic you need to be there having it not think of you...

My brother used to bring me here when I was a kid. This was when the current rusting Little Bay Bridge was one of the bridges used to conduct traffic from Dover to Newington. The park has changed greatly! There is a playground, walkways, sidewalks, bike ๐Ÿšฒ trail , gazebo with seasonal picnic ๐Ÿงบ tables , boat โ›ต launch and areas to have a good ๐Ÿ‘ view of the Piscataqua River. The only disappointment was that the old Little Bay Bridge was closed ๐Ÿ”. It would make a great pedestrian ๐Ÿšธ bridge but I don't know if it is scheduled for renovations or dismantling. It has a great view of the sunset! This park is a great place to bring the kids and...

Let's just call this place kind of a wild card. It can be a sketchy spot, especially at night. All sorts of people pit stop here since it's close to the highway. You're pretty much guaranteed to run into shady individuals, particularly at night. During the day it's not too bad though. Lots of families have picnics around the playground area and sometimes exercise groups will utilize the park lawn as well. I once saw 100 people doing yoga in sync on the lawn as I pulled in. There are about 7 portapottys in the main parking area. Grills on site too. Police do routine checks here. Think that about covers it.

Historical place of Dover and a nice getaway park to see the beauty of the back waters. Fact: The first settlement at Dover was made here at the southernmost point of Dover Neck and was called Hilton's Point after Edward and William Hilton. They were fish- mongers from London who, in 1623, established their fishing industry at this scenic site.
