Hidden Falls has 2 trails: 1 via Jenny Lake Trailhead and 2 via String Lake Trailhead. You can also go there via Shuttle boat. We did the 5.4-mile out-and-back trail via String Lake. We parked in the String Parking lot and started hiking into the amazing view of the Grand Tetons. At the trailhead, we crossed a bridge with a stream running underneath. On the way to Hidden Falls, we saw the picturesque Jenny Lake. We saw golden marmots and moose alongside the trail. Reached our destination and we were amazed to see the 200 ft cascade waterfall fed by snowmelt. Though it is a moderate hiking trail, I recommend it to everyone.

This trail is between an easy/moderate hike. Lots of great views and even saw a bear!! Luckily it was in the parking lot and not in the wild.

We did not take the ferry and started from the Jenny Lake trailhead. Ended up being a little over 5 miles total and definitely earned a big dinner so very happy about that.

One thing to note - certain spots of the trail have lots of rocks on the path and they really want you to twist your ankles! Just be careful and watch your step and you’ll have a great time. The falls are a...

Highlight of the trip! We did a round trip ferry ride which made this hike super easy with the two toddlers. Short and beautiful with easy access to Inspiration Point, which we didn’t get to do because of the tots. Lots of...
