Leigh Lake Trailhead — Attraction in Driggs

Very nice hike that runs by the river and then by the lake, all the time with the mountains in the background. This is great for picture lovers like me. You can see plenty of people kayaking or canoeing, the water is pretty calm (perfect also for reflection of the mountains) and also there are a lot of birds and other wildlife. We got out a little late, and didn’t arrive to String Lake until 11:00. It took about 15 minutes to find parking, but we did. String Lake was beautiful, saw an eagle and a brown bear cub. The water was super calm, despite the wind. We then portaged over to Leigh Lake, which was even more beautiful and much less crowded.

This is a very nice rugged trail going around the lake. You have a spectacular view of the Tetons from this walkway. The lake is very amazing and the water here is quite clear. There is a bridge to cross at one point that is also really cool. This trail hooks up to multiple other trails including the Jenny Lake Trail and the Painted Canyon Trail.
