We recently had our wedding at The Creek Haus in October. To say I am completely UNIMPRESSED would be an understatement. The owners spoke to us as though we were inept teenagers and tried to threaten us the morning after our wedding stating we were no longer going get receive our deposit. We used biodegradable confetti, and they stated it would not be gone in time for the next wedding. I asked our ‘day-of wedding coordinator’ before the wedding if we could use the confetti and she said ‘yes.’ So, we had prior approval, did not break or damage any part of the property, and were completely within our contractual agreement – and still- the owner decided it was a good idea to come scold us in the early hours of the morning. It took some arguing and explaining to them the difference between ‘biodegradable’ vs ‘water soluble’ but we did in fact get our deposit back. The owner was also very upset that my brother had parked his car ‘too close’ to the septic something-or-another. However, there were no signs, no one told us we could not park in certain locations, and he even admitted that there WAS a large rock there and a worker had removed it the day or so before. It is not worth the stress or completely unorganized and vapid staff who has the audacity to bully you less than 12 hours after your wedding has been completed.
We were not impressed, and definitely did not appreciate the way we were treated.
Oh, and a few sidenotes- the bridal suite absolutely REEKED of bodily waste since it is directly next to the septic tank (right by the service hatches). That did not make getting ready a positive experience. And the 'honeymoon suite' is the brightest room available. We literally had to go buy foil and find a tall ladder so that we could make the room darker and get some rest. You can try to call about these issues when they're happening but there is NO cell service. I definitely do not...
Read moreBeautiful grounds, bad room. Rained during our stay and the rain came through the ceiling and soaked wife's clothes, her wheelchair and other items. The couch very uncomfortable (a very obvious board running under the cushions made seating painful), bed comfortable, no table or chair, little space around the sinks to place items. Only Kareem Abdul Jabbar could reach the towel rack in the bathroom (closer to the ceiling than my head). The road to the venue is covered with loose rocks and uncomfortable. Appeared the owner used the "rustic" look to save a lot of money, certainly not for comfort. When you check out, YOU have to get rid of all the trash from every room and everything from the kitchen. If you leave anything you forfeit your deposit! I have camped in tents with more floor space than our room. In short, great grounds and pavilion, bad rooms, policies, roads and parking. At least you don't have to clean the toilet or change the bedding! Great, but misleading, PR by the city of Dripping Springs. If this is the #1 in Texas,...
Read moreA hill country gem! Most of our family were coming in from out of state, so we were incredibly happy to find such a beautiful hill country wedding venue that had housing for our guests onsite. Instead of rushing to spend time with all our guests during the reception, having three whole days to spend with 60 or so of our closest friends and family made our wedding experience so wonderful! The venue and grounds are gorgeous just as they are but could be easily dressed into your own vision. Joe and Stacey were a breeze to work with and were prompt and responsive to all our of questions as they came up, regardless of how silly they were. The vendors they coordinated for us were amazing, and Jordan, from Coordinate This was the absolute best - if there were any issues that happened at our wedding, I have no idea, because she was on top of everything! ...
