My extended family and I just wrapped up the most amazing Texas Hill Country vacation at TyRosa Ranch. The ranch is tucked away at the end of a private road in a secluded setting. Bordering both sides of the property are horse rescue ranches. So in addition to the beautiful land, with deer freely roaming, we also got to see and feed the horses every day. There are two beautifully decorated modern homes on the property. The Bungalow which is the smaller of the two homes sits on the top of the hill and has a upper balcony that provides spectacular views of the Hill Country with amazing sunsets. The home was exceptionally clean, had very comfortable beds and slept 12 people. Near The Bungalow is a covered picnic area, a building used for indoor games and gatherings and a firepit. We especially loved our evening outdoors under the beautifully lit trees. Between the two houses there is a large fire pit area where our group of 24 gathered at the end of each day to spend some quality time together. The ranch home is a larger home with a open floor plan and an indoor dining area that comfortably seats 12 people with the ability to seat even more at the breakfast bar. Every room in this house is very spacious and again the beds were very comfortable, the house was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the covered front porch and the wooden rockers. This is where we enjoyed our morning coffee and oftentimes an evening glass of wine. On rainy days some of us played the provided board games while others watch TV or read a book. The TyRosa Ranch was perfect for our family. We spent so much quality time together. Although we were only about a half an hour out of Austin we had no reason to leave the ranch other than to pick up some groceries. I can hardly wait to plan our next trip. I haven't decided yet if it will be with the family or with a large group of friends but whatever it is I'm sure that it will...
Read morePlease don't work with this host. We booked this accommodation for our WEDDING weekend in October back in February through Airbnb. He confirmed it, took a deposit and then proceeded to reach out to us in July to tell us that there was a 'calendar syncing issue' and that the place was actually booked for that weekend. We reached out to Airbnb Support and they confirmed that there was no issue on their end, so clearly this was just a mistake or flat out lie on the host's part. He then asked me to cancel MY OWN reservation, obviously so there wouldn't be any repercussions on his end to which Airbnb support said to not do.
Absolutely abhorrent customer service. His response to the situation was 'I know this isn't ideal'. I work in hospitality, specifically in hotel management and I have never seen something like this before nor have I ever had to write a review like this. That a technical issue would supposedly go unnoticed for 5 months and then that person be so callous about the fact that this was for our wedding. There is already limited availability in Dripping Springs and we had made specific plans around booking this place. I just ask that you please be careful about working with this host and double check everything...
Read moreWe have stayed at TyRosa Ranch a couple of times now and we love everything about it. The property is very quiet and secluded with deer roaming freely throughout the day and evening. The neighboring property has horses and donkeys that come to the fence for attention and food. Which we loved since most of us live in the city. Trails throughout the property were great for my morning walk. Both homes were tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and equipped with everything that we needed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bungalow, is at the top of the hill and has a nice outdoor eating area and a building that could easily be used to host events. There is an upper balcony off one of the bedrooms that provides an incredible view of the sunset. The trees near the bungalow are beautifully lite for evening entertainment. The Ranch house has a two story great room with a large table that seats 12 people (more can be seated at the bar) and the outdoor covered porch is lined with rocking chairs. This is the perfect spot for your morning coffee. There is a large firepit between the two homes which allowed our group of 24 to gather each night and share the...
