My small church was looking for a location for our weekend retreat, and there were some specific things we needed to factor in— proximity to Austin, a variety of sports and activities, comfortable sleeping rooms that could accommodate both babies and elderly folks, a large meeting space or two, and surrounded by nature. When I found Camp David online, my stomach did a little flip because this retreat venue checked off all those things . . . and then some! The pictures on the website are gorgeous, and I thought this couldn’t possibly be what it actually looks like in real life. I was wrong— and all 25 adults, 6 kids, and 2 dogs who attended our retreat were blown away by the beauty, comfort, amenities, and thoughtful touches throughout. The owners are also unbelievably accommodating and available, and they worked closely with me to ensure we had everything we needed for a successful retreat. This venue is truly special and has the most breathtaking backdrop. My one and only suggestion would be to add more lodging (so that even more people could enjoy this place together)— but, besides that, it really couldn’t be any better.

We had an incredible stay at Camp David Retreat this past weekend! We spent the day hiking and swimming! The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to bake a cake for the birthday boy. We enjoyed a beautiful Texas sunset over the hill country. A storm rolled in, and we sat on the beautiful deck and watched the lightning roll in. We ended the night with a camp fire and listen to the cicadas. It was the perfect day! We spent most of the day outdoors, but once we moved inside the lodge we were so comfortable and felt at home. There were plenty of blankets and the beds were very comfortable! My only regret is we didn’t stay longer! We can’t wait to come back!!

An absolutely breathtaking night at the most picturesque Retreat!!! Thank you Neil Ryan Dumra & Third Eye Meditation Lounge Community for the Camp Fire at Sunset, the most peaceful healing Sound Bath, the delicious nourishing Dinner, Margaret’s incredible Cacao & Cacao brownies …. the puppy dogs & new Friendships! Everything about tonight was Ahhhhhmazing ! 🥰 I am so excited that you are now in Dripping Springs and that more Local Texas Hill County Events and Retreats are coming 🩷 A Dream Come True for me !!! Ping Pong, Pickleball, Yoga, Sound Healing, Hot Tub, Sauna, Cold Plunge, Swimming & Incredible Sunrises & Sunsets ~ it doesn’t get any better ✨🙏✨

Camp David Retreat – A Wonderful Experience for Church Retreats Our recent church youth camp at Camp David Retreat was a truly enriching and memorable experience. From start to finish, the retreat exceeded expectations and provided a beautiful setting for fellowship, worship, and rest. The owner of Camp David Retreat was exceptionally warm and accessible throughout our stay. It was clear from the beginning that hospitality and care for guests are central values at this retreat center. Any concerns we had were handled promptly and graciously, making us feel welcome and supported. The entire facility was clean and well-maintained. Everything from the lodging areas to the common spaces provided a safe, inviting environment for our youth and leaders to enjoy. The space was both functional and comfortable, perfectly suited for our group’s needs. One of the most striking aspects of Camp David is the view. Overlooking the scenic Texas Hill Country, the landscape around the retreat inspired awe and provided an ideal backdrop for reflection and worship. The natural beauty of the hills added an extra layer of joy to our time together. The amenities were top-notch. From recreational spaces to gathering areas, everything was thoughtfully prepared and well-equipped. The layout and accommodations supported both structured activities and informal time to build relationships among our group. By the grace of God, the retreat was a success. We experienced sweet fellowship, heartfelt worship, and deepened our bonds as a community. The peaceful and encouraging atmosphere of Camp David played a significant role in helping us focus on what matters most—Christ and His work among us. While no retreat is without small hiccups, any issues that arose were quickly and efficiently addressed by the staff. Their responsiveness contributed to an overall sense of peace and allowed us to stay focused on the purpose of our gathering. I wholeheartedly recommend Camp David Retreat for any church looking to host a youth camp, leadership retreat, or congregational gathering. The combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, and caring hosts makes it a top choice for...

The whole team at Third Eye Lounge in Austin, Texas, had the perfect weekend retreat at Camp David! A Hidden Gem in Dripping Springs!

I highly recommend Camp David Retreat on McGregor Lane in Dripping Springs! Our team at Third Eye Lounge spent an unforgettable weekend here for a company retreat, which was nothing short of magical. As a company dedicated to serving ceremonial cacao and fostering community and connection, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to gather, recharge, and bond.

The warm and welcoming atmosphere wrapped around us like a cozy hug from when we arrived. The rooms were beautifully designed, balancing rustic charm with modern comfort. Each space felt like a sanctuary. But the real magic happened outdoors. We spent our evenings soaking in the glowing hot tub, letting our worries melt away, and sitting by the firepit as we watched the sunset in the most breathtaking display of color. The epic Texas sky stretched before us, reminding us to slow down, be present, and truly appreciate the moment.

One of the unexpected highlights of our stay? Pickleball! We had an absolute blast playing on the courts, laughing, competing, and creating memories that strengthened our bond as a team. It was the perfect way to balance relaxation with a little friendly competition.

Everything we needed to cook, gather, and share meals was provided. From a fully stocked kitchen to a beautiful dining setup that made our communal meals feel extra special. Third Eye Lounge is a company that values shared experiences; it was incredible to prepare food together, sip on our rich ceremonial cacao, and engage in meaningful conversations without distraction.

Camp David Retreat is ideal for corporate retreats, wellness gatherings, family reunions, and intimate weddings. We loved how we could unplug and relax or engage in team-building activities. This place offers the perfect balance of luxury and nature. The peaceful surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and stunning views create an unforgettable experience.

We left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and more connected than ever. Five stars all the...

Our group of eight breast cancer survivors and volunteers gathered at Camp David Retreat in May for an Image Reborn Foundation Rest & Renew retreat, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear that this space was something truly special. The theme of our weekend was Honoring the Journey—and this beautiful, peaceful haven allowed each of us to do just that.

The accommodations were absolutely wonderful—comfortable, serene, and thoughtfully designed to support rest, reflection, and connection. Each of our eight survivors were welcomed with a gift bag, a simple yet meaningful gesture that made us feel seen and cared for from the very beginning.

The property itself is breathtaking. The sunset framed perfectly from the center of the deck each evening was a sacred, calming experience we all looked forward to. It gave us time to pause, breathe deeply, and take in the beauty around us and within us.

Jenn was a gem—warm, gracious, and attentive in the most genuine way. She even surprised us with fresh-baked blueberry muffins on Saturday, which made our morning feel even more like home. Every detail, every effort, reflected true hospitality and care.

Camp David Retreat provided the perfect backdrop for healing, connection, and restoration. We are so grateful for this beautiful space that helped us honor our individual and shared journeys in such a...
