It is true, respect the big lake, it has kept its dead for eons. Many locals will not go in casually. There are possibilities to consider, like rip currents (when the weather is just right) along the largest freshwater sand beach in the world, just a few miles from Lester River. Also, hypothermia is a possibility most of the year due to the normally cold temps.
